Chapter Six

When we got home it was getting kind of late so the rest of the band started to leave.
"BYE ELLIE." Joe shouted from the door.
"Byee!" I called out and heard the front door shut.
I was sitting on the couch in the living room watching a rerun of criminal minds. Patrick came in and sat next to me.
"Criminal minds?" He asked.
"It was the only thing that jumped out at me, I've never watched it."
We watched a few episodes until I fell asleep on the couch. Soon I felt a pair of arms and I was no longer on the couch.
"Time for bed kiddo." patrick chuckled and brought me to my room.
He put me in my bed and turned off the light.
"Goodnight ell."
"Night patrick." I mumbled half asleep.
I woke up that night screaming, out of breathe.
"What!Whats wrong!" Patrick bursted in my room.
"Sorry, sorry just a bad dream." I ran a hand through my hair.
"You ok?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm ok."
"Alright well if you need anything don't be scared to wake me up." he said before leaving my room.
After that I went back to sleep.
In the morning I woke up to loud banging and yelling.
"TIME TO GET UP ELLIE." I heard pete yell.
"Ughh." I groaned getting up.
I went to the dresser and picked out a blue cable knit sweater and some black jeans.
"Well good morning sleepy head." pete said while eating some home fries.
"Good Morning." I said stretching out my arms.
I took a seat at the center island in the middle of Andy and Pete.
"Home fries and eggs." patrick smiled smugly putting a plate in front of me.
"I love home fries." I said shoving a mouthful in.
"So does Joe, he could live off of these if he wanted too." Andy said.
"Speaking of joe where is he?" Patrick asked.
"Uh he said something about meeting someone today for lunch I think?" Pete said.
"So what do you want to do today?" Patrick asked.
All three boys looked at me while I thought.
"I got nothing." I said.
They all just chuckled.
"There's nothing you really want to do?" Pete asked.
"Nothing that really comes to mind." I explained.
"We could go to the boardwalk?" Patrick suggested
"That sounds like a great idea!" I smiled.
After breakfast we put all the dishes away and got into I think Petes car.
While we were in the car my stomach started feeling weird only for me to realize I was starting to actually digest my food instead of throwing it up. I had never been to a boardwalk before so I was excited like really excited like a little kid. I looked out the window and saw rides and I assumed that was it.
"Is that it!" I asked.
"Yes Elle" Patrick laughed.
When we finally got there all the guys had put hoodies on and put their hoods up along with sunglasses. I shot them a confused look.
"So no one recognizes us." Pete said.
"Oh." I realized, it's not usual for your "dad" to be in a huge band everyday.
We walked up to a ticket both and I assumed we would've gotten four hour passes because they were cheaper but I was wrong, the guys decided to get all day passes.
"How much was that?" I asked.
"Uh around 200$." Pete replied.
"What! That's so expensive!"
The guys just laughed.
"Elle that's nothing." Patrick explained
"well it's a lot to me." I muttered.
"So Ell what do you wanna do first?" Patrick asked.
"Pick a roller coaster first!" Pete said.
"Or bumper cars are cool too ya know!" Andy competed with him.
"Could we go on the Ferris wheel?" I asked.
"Sure!" Patrick said while putting his arm around me as we walked towards the Ferris wheel.
While we were waiting on line, I noticed it had gotten really quite. All the guys were just looking down so no one would recognize them but I think a few girls behind us realized it was them because they were whispering and pointing.  Then more and more people started looking.
"Uh guys I think-"
"We know." Pete said pulling me in closer to them.
"Well what do we do?" I asked
"We're almost there, hopefully they can hold off from the screaming long enough for us to get on the ride and slip away" Patrick said to me.
The couple in front of us turned around and looked at us.
"Hey aren't you guys-"
"Yes, we are. But we don't want to get noticed." Pete cut the guy off.
"Do you guys want to go in front of us?" The girl asked.
"No we couldn't do that!" Patrick said.
"It's fine, really I insist those girls aren't going to stay quite much longer." She said.
"well thank you!" We all said moving in front of them.
"Do you want a picture?" Andy asked.
"Sure" they said grinning.
We took the picture and that was it, once we took it everyone started yelling just as we got on the ride.
"Well that was nice." Patrick said.
"Yeah." I nodded and looked out the side of the Ferris wheel.
"You can see everything from up here!" I said in excitement.
"I think that's the point Ellie" Pete chuckled.
"Hey I've never been on rides or anything be nice." I laughed.
"Well just wait for the day we have planned out." He replied smirking.
