Chapter Seven

Pete wasn't kidding when he said they had planned an awesome day. We went on literally every roller coaster until Patrick felt sick but by the time that happened I was exhausted and wanted to go home.
"Thanks for an awesome day." I said half yawning as we got into the car.
On the way home I just gazed out the window and felt my eyes getting heavy then everything went dark.
(After Ellie sleeps)
"Looks like someone fell asleep" I think I heard.
"Here I got her" suddenly I was lifted by a pair of arms but I didn't care to see who it was I was too tired.
"Patrick get the door."
Once inside I felt as if we were going upstairs and then I felt my bed, oh my bed has never felt more comfy. I turned on my side and went back asleep.
(Patrick's P.O.V)
Once Pete had put Ellie on her bed I started taking her shoes off and put them on the floor. Suddenly I felt someone's hand on my shoulder.
"Hey we're all gonna go home" Pete said to me.
"Alright I'll see you guys later." I said as they left.
I went back to Ellie and put her under her covers.
"Goodnight Elle" I said giving her a kiss on the forehead.
As I was walking out the door I heard Ellie mumble.
"Patrick" she said
"Yeah Elle?" I asked in the doorway.
"Thank you." She said
"For what?" I asked, she was half asleep so I was getting confused.
"For giving me a family." She said and then there was nothing but silence.
I just smiled and felt my heart warm. Then I went to bed myself.
(Ellie's P.O.V)
I woke up on my own the next morning, it was barely sunny out so I checked the clock to see it was 630 in the morning.
"Why" I groaned while getting out of bed.
I went to my dresser and pulled out a pair of black jeans and a dark blue flannel. I started walking out of my room quietly so I wouldn't wake Patrick up and went downstairs. I walked out to the back deck and watched the sunrise.
"Beautiful isn't it" I heard someone say catching me off guard so I jumped.
I turned to see it was Patrick.
"You almost gave me a heart attack!" I said.
"What are you even doing up this early?" Patrick asked me.
"I dunno I just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep." I shrugged
"I'm gonna make some coffee you want some?" He asked me.
"Sure, but coffees for closers." I smirked
"I see you did your research." He chuckled while going into the kitchen.
I continued to look at the sunrise and played with some fray strands on my jeans. I should probably tell Patrick I need clothes soon and that I have to back to school eventually. There were all these things that we still had to discuss.
Patrick came back and handed me a mug. We just sat in silence for a minute until I had the courage to speak up.
"Patrick?"
"Yeah Elle" he said still looking out
"Uh well I hate asking but I kinda need some clothes.." I said playing with the fabric on my jeans.
"Oh my goodness I can't believe I forgot about that! Why didn't you ask me sooner?" He said
"Well I mean I just came into your life and you had already done so much I didn't want to burden you" I said looking down still twirling the frays
"Hey look at me." He said while I looked in his eyes.
"Elouise You could never "burden" me, I'm supposed to be like your father which is weird to say." He chuckled.
"But that also means that you can ask me anything, so don't ever think that. Ok?" He sounded so sincere.
"Ok." I replied sounding relieved,
"Now is there anything else you need to ask me since we're on the topic?"
"I have to go to school eventually" I replied
"Right,right. I'll get on that soon" he said running a hand through his head.
"So what are you doing today?" I asked because I remember him mentioning something about work.
"we're gonna go shopping." He smirked.
Oh boy shopping with your "father" while trying to make sure he doesn't get seen should be interesting
