"Girls this is Mr. Stump." Ms. Hatherly said in her sweet voice which was totally fake.

"Hello." He waved awkwardly.

He seemed vaguely familiar, a few girls were kinda freaking out over him. Who is he.

"We're going to be doing One on ones so everyone can sit down, who'd like to go first." She said looking at me.

Everyone knew I always went first because I'm the oldest and have been here the longest and usually nobody wanted me.

I raised my hand like I always do but the Patricia pushed me to the side.

I raised my eyebrow looking at her and glanced at Ms. Hatherly, she just stood there.

"Ellie always goes first, I'll be the brave one for once." She snickered.

I was pissed I just wanted this to be over with the akward questions.

"But Ellie's hand went up first." A little girl but in.

"I'm sure Ellie's fine with it, come on Patricia."

I sat back down with everyone else when they left, the room completely silent.

"Listen up I'm going next got it?" I snapped. "I'm the oldest and you all have a better chance than I do, I just want to get this over with so I can back to my room ok?" They all nodded at me, some frightened and some understanding because they knew.

Ten minutes later Patricia came back out and over to me as I started walking by she whispered something to me.

"Don't even bother I'll be going home with him now you."

I just rolled my eyes at her and smiled when I got near Mr. Stump.

We got into the one on one room and Ms. Hatherly went outside the door to wait.

I sat down at the table and he sat on the other side.

"So your names Ellie? Is that short for something?" He asked.

"Uh I think it's for Elouise maybe I'm not sure." I said scratching the back of my head nervously. Usually I'm not nervous but this time was different.

"You don't know?" he asked me.

"Yeah I figured not getting into all the details would make it easier, ya know not trying to find my "family" or getting drawn into it." I explained.

"Wow that's surprisingly really mature." He said sympathetically. "How old are you?"

"I'm sixteen, my birthdays in December."

"You seem to have this down, the whole question answer thing."

"Uh yeah, I've been doing it for most of my life. It's probably the only thing I'm actually good at." I joked.

"I bet you have lots of potential inside you just waiting to come out, you don't have hobbies or anything?"

"Uh not really, I think I played soccer when I was younger before I came here but I mean sometimes I write music or read." I said. "god I sound like a limp noodle I'm sorry."

"No no no you're not a limp noodle, I just have one last question. Do you know who I am?" He looked confused.

I gave him a confused look.

"Uh Mr. Stump..? I mean you look vaguely familiar but other than that no."

"I'm the lead singer in the band fall out boy, ring a bell?" He asked.
