Holy Hades

Hades had invited Will and Nico to dinner, he didn't exactly approve of Will. He didn't care about his son being gay.

But Will in particular, he didn't like. He didn't think he was good enough for a son of Hades.

He brought this up and it of course turned into an argument.

"What is the dam issue?!"

"The issue is you have terrible taste in men! First Jackson now him? I swear I wouldn't have had this issue with Bianca!"

"Fuck you!"

"She also would have been less stubborn about it!" Hades didn't mean it, it was the heat of the moment and out of anger.

"Don't talk to him like that!" Will spoke for the first time in the argument. Hades ignored him

Will looked over to Nico, who was starring at the ground, he looked up to glare at Hades before running off.

"Wait!" Will called after, he shot Hades a look of bewilderment, a look that basically said 'are you an idiot?'

Nico had a head start, and could run very fast. Will also didn't know his way around the castle.

Nico ran into his room which he rarely stayed at. He fell onto the bed and started crying. His father saying that only reminded him of how he wished he died insted.

When Will finally found his room he ran in. When Nico saw him he sat up, and extended his arms for a hug.

Will ran over to his bed and wrapped Nico in a comforting embrace. One arm around his back the other caressing the back of his head, which was resting on Will's chest.

"Its ok darling, I'm right here. I wont leave you" He kissed the top of Nico's head. Hearing Will talk to him and call him darling always calmed him down. It made everything else melt away.

Hades could see all of this, because he was a god and stuff, and also because he was nosey.

"I wish I was dead insted of her" Nico confessed.

"Well I don't, you're the most important person in my life. It hurts me when you're upset, don't forget that"

He saw how comforted Nico was, how he didn't push away Will's offer of comfort, like he did with everyone else.

"I love you" Nico said after a few minutes. He suggled closer to Wills chest.

"I love you too"

Later after everyone calmed down Hades asked to talk to Will.

"Solace, may I apologize for my behavior, I may have overreacted"

"Its not me you should be apologizing to" he said coldly, not looking him in the eyes.

"I am aware, I will be apologizing to Nico in a bigger way"

"Good, he deserves it" Will's face softened to a small smile.

"Do you love my son?"

Will was a little surprised but the question but answered without hesitation.
"Yes, I do, without a doubt"

Hades was impressed by that answer. Persephone in particular had made him see that as long as Nico was happy and not in an abusive relationship. It was not his place to intervene.

"Have you slept together?" The gods had been around so long that they didn't get the same embarrassment about those kinds of questions. And also forgot that mortals did.

"Uh-um, what?" Will could feel his face getting redder.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Mortal teenagers and their awkwardness" he rolled his eyes.
