it was the next morning at breaksfast. we were going to start classes today and we found out that i had a class with the year older than us
and younger than us.
that meant i had it with fred and george!
and cedric
it was a combined class with many all the different houses, which might get distracting because slytherins and gryffindors don't usually get along, but we'll see.
it was time to go to class, which was potions with professor snape.
"morning class, before you get seated anywhere, this year we will be having assigned seats. some kids last year messed around too much and made me decide to make a seating chart."
please put me by cosette, it thought in my head.
"fred weasley and emma lupin, jo lupin and dean thomas, cosette potter and draco malfoy, george weasley and harry potter, hermione granger and ronald weasley" the list just kept going "finally, cedric diggory and renee weasley"
we sat down and began the lesson. we were brewing something today and as i grabbed one of the ingredients from the table, cedric went and grabbed it at the same time.
"oh sorry!" he says with his cute accent
"no it's completely fine don't worry about it!" i say. my face went totally red.
we were the first to get done. i raised my hand to tell professor snape.
"alright, 5 points to both hufflepuff and gryffindor." he says sternly.
cedric and i high five each other and talk while we wait for the rest of the class to get finished with the potion.
"so renee, why aren't you in hufflepuff? you're very nice and caring for other people" he says. i blushed at the last part.
"probably because my whole family are gryffindors, and thank you. and if i do say so myself, i'm pretty brave" i said with confidence. he just smiled at me and laughed a bit.
"now cedric" i say to him "why aren't you in gryffindor? you would fit it in just fine, and i know u have plenty friends in gryffindor as well"
"i don't know, probably because my mother was hufflepuff but i definitely have gryffindor in me because of my father" he replied.
we both sat there and i looked back down at my paper we had to write the ingredients on, making sure i got everything.
i then saw cedric staring at me.
"are you okay ced?" i ask him.
"oh yea totally, sorry i blanked for a second" he says.
i just nod and smile at him. i didn't know what else to do!
finally it was the end of the day and i got back to the gryffindor common room. i saw cosette and emma walk in, as i always gave them the passwords.
they gave me a smirk, i assumed they saw cedric and i talking in potions today.
"let's go to my dorm" i say.
we then all went up to my dorm that i share with hermione and ginny. luckily ginny wasn't in there but hermione was. she knew about my crush on cedric so i didn't care much for her to be in there.
"we had a sweet talk about why we weren't in each other's houses, but that's it i promise." i say to the three
they all have each other that certain eye, which made me scared they were up to something.
"renee, we saw him looking at you" cosette said.
"oh yeah, he just said he blanked for a second that's it" i say to them
"from what i saw" emma said "that's more than just blanking. he looked at you and studied your beautiful face, i could tell."
this made me blush quite a bit, and they could tell.
"go get some sleep you three, i don't want you guys to get your hopes up. i love you all very much" i say to them
i got into pajamas and laid down in bed. did he really look at me like that?
