it was starting to get colder and colder by the day. our first hogsmeade trip was tomorrow and i was so excited, it was going to be my first one!
we were walking to our common rooms and cosette and i always drop emma and jo off at their common rooms.
i then feel someone come around me and put a shoulder around me as we got to the hufflepuff common room. i turned to my right and saw cedric right there, and felt myself blush.
"hey weasley, i was just abt to enter into the hufflepuff common rooms but i don't want to so i'll walk with you guys to your common rooms" he says
he lifts his arm off of my shoulder when some students started walking past us. it hurt my feelings a bit, but not a lot. i'm just dramatic
we walked into my common room and cosette headed up to her dorm when cedric started talking to me.
"so this week is ur first hogsmeade trip tomorrow" he said and i nodded "i was wondering if you wanted to go together? as friends obviously"
HES. ASKING. ME. OUT.
my mind was racing at 100 mph and i didn't know what to say. it was a good thing he whispered this so my brothers didn't hear.
"u-uhm yea of course i would love to! sorry i blanked again. that sounds like fun" i say, giving him a smile.
"perfect, well then...okay see you tomorrow" he says "goodbye renee, have a good night" he says giving me a wink per usual
"see you tomorrow cedric" you say as he walks away
"diggory? again?" fred asks as i sit next to him. do i need to get the dungbombs?" george says.
"you guys are ridiculous" i say "he asked me on a date to hogsmeade tomorrow"
fred, george and percy all stood up from their seats in shock of what they just heard.
"IM TELLING DAD" fred yells
"RENEE NO WAY" george yells
"OH YOURE NOT GOING WITH DIGGORY!" percy yells. the whole common room was quiet for a moment, but finally went back to normal.
my brothers were all very protective of me my whole life. but especially percy, i was very grateful for them though.
"relax! he said as friends and i respect that. i wouldn't want anything more" i say lying.
"oh yes because you definitely wouldn't want to date the most popular and handsome at boy at hogwarts. as if!" percy yells, and everyone says "yeah!" in agreement
"guys, be real. we're going on a date, so what? it's just a date. you're fine. but i'm going to bed before any of you start getting the dungbombs" i say to them
"oh i'm already getting them" george says
"i keep some in my pockets" fred says
i walk up to my dorm and hear cosy jump out her bed.
"YOURE GOING ON A DATE WITH CEDRIC" she yells as i close the door.
"HOW DID YOU KNOW?!" i say
"ur brothers are VERY loud" she says
"we're going on a date, but as friends. nothing more. yes i like him, but that doesn't mean he feels the same way about me" i say to her "now goodnight"
"you are so oblivious" she says "again, this is why you aren't in ravenclaw"
i ignored her and went to sleep
i woke up and realized it was the day of my date!
"COS I NEED SOMETHING TO WEAR" i yell waking her up
"you're so annoying—what do you need help with?" she asks
"picking an outfit for my date with cedric!" i say
"OH YEA THATS TODAY" she says "LET ME FIND SOMETHING"
she searched through both of our trunks until she found the cutest outfit and threw it at me.
"here put this on! hermione said she can help with hair" she says
i got dressed and then hermione curled my hair. i looked gorgeous.

i walked out into the common room and as my brothers
"is this for your date with diggory?" fred asks
"oh yes going to be SO flattered" george says sarcastically
"oh shut up you two, just because i look good for once doesn't mean you have to say something about it" i say to them.
it wasn't only for once. i had to admit i was very beautiful and i knew it. i definitely had confidence, i just seemed to doubt myself every once in while. but that happens to everyone.
"you look great, renee" percy says
"thanks perc. now if you don't mind, i'm going down to the great hall to meet my date" i say to them
"fine but if he hurts you" george says
"you know where to find us" fred finishes
"cedric is a nice guy, i'll be fine" i say to them
