Chapter 11-I love you, and i don't want to

it was now June and everything was getting better for me at Hogwarts. Classes were less stressful because we were close to being done and it felt so much better.Most of Hogwarts was back to normal and the creature was finally killed. Some people were getting annoying.

And by some people, I mean Cedric.

After I had that breakdown, he wouldn't stop being so protective of me. I mean, of course I love Ced, but he's been too clingy. And we're not even dating.

"Cedric, I'm just trying to get to class" I said. "And I'm helping you get there" He said

"Ced let me be free pleeeeease" I said "No can do ma'am, now cmon pick up the pace" He said and I finally budged after not wanting to.

I walked into class where I met Fred and George at their desks before I sat down next to Cedric. "So, looks like you've got Diggory all over you? So, are you two finally dating?" Fred said. That arsehole.

"No we're not, Fredrick." I said. "Don't call me Fredrick I will murder you, Renee" He said "Yo chill Freddie, it's just a name" George said and he let me go sit down. This is why he's my favorite twin.

It was the last day of being here until next year. I wanted to make this day amazing. Next year, classes were going to get harder. I wanted to make some memories today.

After potions, we didn't have any classes for the rest of the day. Me and my friends had plans tonight. And no one. No. One. Was going to ruin those plans.

I asked Cedric later that day if he wanted to join in on the fun but he refused. "Renee, nothing can happen! I want you to be safe and keep being a good person, but that can't happen if you keep messing around with everything in school" He says

"Ced, it's the last day of school. And even teachers don't care at this time of year." I said and then there was a long pause. "Fine" he finally agreed "But if we get in trouble, I'm not taking any blame" "Sounds like a plan to me" I said and shook his hand.

That night was so fun! We played a bunch of wizards chess, exploding snap, and gave a bunch of first years puking pastils and candies.

"I cant wait for summer to start, but I will miss seeing so many people everyday. I don't think there's one person at Hogwarts that I don't mind" I said to Cedric as I walked him back to his common room.

"Yeah, me too," Cedric said "but will you miss me?" "Maybe, you've been very overprotective lately"

"Renee, you know I'm just trying to keep you safe. I'm scared something is going to happen to you and I don't want that for you." He says

"Ced, I'm literally 14 and I'm going to be fine. I have brothers that I've grown up with and have taught me how to care for myself," I said patting his shoulder "Bye Cedric, I'll see you on the train tomorrow, have a good rest of the night" and then walked away

"I love you!" He said "I-i really do, and I know you don't which is completely fine, and you're so young and I get it that you don't wanna be with me, but I just want you to know that I really love you and I have since we first kissed that one night but I've been too scared to tell you so here it is."

"C-Cedric you can't just say that" I said "What do you mean?" He asks

"You know what," I said "You can't tell me you love me after I've spent my entire life loving you but then expect me to spill my guts out to you about how much I love you and then we both leave each other for months. I can't do that Ced. You can't expect me to just keep this new information within me for 3 more months and expect me to be in love with you and in a relationship but then we both leave. I-I won't do it. Goodbye Cedric, have a good summer. I'll tell you how I feel after summer" I finished with tears running down my face and ran back to my dorm with my dormmates already asleep.

*Next Day*

We woke up and went down to the great hall for breakfast. The twins were there, I hoped Cedric didn't tell anyone about last night. If my brothers knew, Ced would be in major trouble.

Luckily no one asked why I came in late last night and after breakfast, we gathered our personal belongings and headed for the train.

Me, Emma, Jo and Cosette all got in a compartment together and all chilled in there.

"Why isn't Cedric here?" Cosette asked "He's always on the train with us, want me to go and find him?"

"No. No I don't think you should" I said and everyone looked confused "He has other friends to sit with...and prefect duties, of course"

"Ooookay then, would've thought you wanted him here but I guess not and that's fine" She said "Anyone wanna pla-"

"Hello everyone, just wanted to make sure you were all okay" Cedric said as he entered the compartment "Emma, Jo, Cosette and Renee, looks good. See you all next year"

After the train ride, we all said our goodbyes to each other. Emma and Jo were off to the Lupin household while Cosette was sadly off to the Dursley's with Harry.

"Be careful Cos, and if anything happens there, write me and let me know if you need to bail you out of there again" I said and winked at her.

"Godric Im going to miss you so much" Cosette said as she pulled me into another hug and then Vernon honked his car horn for her to get back with them "Write me everyday about anything that happens" She said "I LOVE YOU" she yelled as she ran off to the Dursley's car and yelled I LOVE YOU back at her.

I walked over to my family because all my friends had left already. But Dad and Mum were both talking to the Diggorys which made it very uncomfortable for me having to stand there next to Cedric. After everyone was done talking, everyone hugged but I only waved goodbye to Ced.

Home at last.
