Chapter 15

~Dean's POV~

    I woke up next to a sleeping Cass the next morning. A soft vibrating sound was coming from him. Is he purring? I blush at that realization. He is holding me too tightly for me to move. I sigh quietly in defeat and smile.

    He doesn't wake up until about noon. I dont notice it until he nuzzles into my neck, which makes me turn bright red. "M-morning Cass" i stutter out. "Morning." He stays silent for a minute. "Warm..." He decides my neck is the most comfortable place to be. He doesn't move. "C-cass im hungry." I say, hoping he will let me get up.

   He doesn't. I lay there with him in my neck for a while before pushing him off gently and getting up, making him seemingly pout. "Cas i said i was hungry." I say before i walk out. He follows a bit closely. This is strange, I think to myself. Ever since I got onto him about personal space he has kept his distance. Ill have to ask Sam more about this half breed situation.

~Gabriel's POV~

    "This is bad. Sort of." Sam says to me. "Half breeds, whether true or turned, have mates. Another half breed. It can take from hours to days to weeks for a bond to form. But there are signs. A sudden need to be close to them. A protective instinct for them. And it can happen to just one of them at a time to, not both at the same time." As i listen, my eyes widen. "We're mates." I cut him off. He gives me an adorable confused look. "Im your mate." As I say this my tail begins wagging on its own.

    "I mean it never said it was guaranteed to be a female and male." He says. I suddenly become scared he doesn't want me. He scratches his head. "Are you sure about this Gabriel?" He asks. I nod in response. "Well i guess we can see what happens." This response makes me happy.

    Awhile later, Dean comes in, quickly shutting the door behind him. And small whimpers from cas can be heard. "He won't give me space. He is acting obsessed with me." Dean explains. "You dont seem upset though. In fact you seem to be okay with it." I state. "It was cute at first but he's following me into the bathroom now." Dean says. Sam laughs and shows Dean the website about half breeds. "No. Sammy No. Im strai-" "were. You were straight. Your mate is your mate. He'll act like that until you accept it."

    Dean eventually left after having an existential crisis. This is going to be interesting.

    Days pass, Sammy has been doing more research. He has learned how to hide certain features, like his antlers since they get in the way. He taught us as well but i personally like mine. I like this. We are still looking for Sabrina, but i wouldn't mind staying like this. Me and Sammy are slowly becoming closer. Dean is still in denial. But everything seems to be going okay for once.
