Randy felt that he is being cheated for some reason; he couldn't understand what he is feeling right now. He dont want to talk to Asher. Thoughts of Asher and Chard together is bugging him that he could not concentrate on his work as one of the General Managers of the company. Yes, he just got promoted.
His dad gave him a promotion, his father saw how focused he is on his work for the past few months and news about him womanizing, getting drunk and picking fights subsided for some reason.
Tok. tok.
"Get in!" he answered.
"Sir, Ms. Asher Geronimo is on the other line, she wants to talk to you..." his secretary said.
"Tell her I'm busy"
"Oh ok..." her secretary hesitantly nodded.
He have been ignoring Asher for almost a week now; he is not answering her calls or her texts; Asher is worried on how Randy is acting up lately; she is thinking that Randy might be sick but Randy doesnt seem to care.
"Ma'am, busy po sya eh..." sagot ng secretary ni Randy.
"Ah ganun ba?! Sige next time na lang..." sabi ni Asher sa kabilang linya.
"Sige po ma'am"
"Ay wait lang! Uhmmmm, may problema ba yung boss mo? May sakit ba sya?" tanong ni Ash bago pa maibaba ang telepono.
"Uhmm,, mukhang wala naman po ma'am, mukhang ok naman po sya eh, baka busy lang po talaga..." sagot
"Ganun ba? Sige ah, salamat,,," sagot ni Ash.
"Sige po ma'am.. bye!"
Beep. beep.
"Uy!" tapik ni Yeng kay Asher; ikinagulat naman ng dalaga ang ginawa ng kaibigan,
"Ano ka ba! Nakakagulat ka naman!" saway ni Ash.
"Lungkot mo ngayon ah, bakit ba?" tanong ni Yeng.
"Wala... busy lang talaga..."
"Weh... si Tisoy ba?"
"Tisoy? Sinong Tisoy?"
"Si Randy... Ang tagal ko ng hindi nakikita yun ah, anyareh? Kalat na kalat na dito sa office yung tungkol senyo eh."
"Hoy! Maghunos dili ka nga, alam mo naman ang totoo diba> Kaibigan ko lang yun, nakakaawa nga yun eh kasi maraming problema sa buhay ang taong yun, kung alam mo lang..."
"Ok.. ok... ikaw na ang may alam, eh kamusta naman yung isa, diba sabi mo yun yung nanliligaw?"
"Si Chard? Ah, oo sya nga yung nanliligaw..."
"Oh parang malungkot ka? Ahem, parang may iba akong nafi-feel ah..."
"Hala ka, anong nafi-feel ka dyan?"
"Eh bakit parang hindi ka kinikilig or alam mo na?"
"Ha? wala, kasi si Randy eh, ilang araw na akong hindi pinapansin, ayun nagpapaka-emo na naman..."
"Ah, kaya pala... so kahit may Richard na, si Randy pa rin ang laman ng iyong mind?!"
"Hindi noh!Ano ka ba? Nag-aalala lang ako para sa mokong na yon..."
"Eh di puntahan mo, malay mo diba?!"
"Eh bahala sya noh? Wala naman akong kasalanan sa kanya noh?! Bahala sya sa buhay nya, ang arte-arte nya, kalalake nyang tao!"
Natatawa namang umalis si Yeng at nagtungo sa sariling desk; mukhang alam na nya ang gustong ipahiwatig ng mga pangyayari...

"What are you up to? Busy much eh?", tanong ni Jake kay Randy. Dumalaw ang kaibigan sa opisina ni Randy dahil napansin nitong hindi na ito gaano sumasama sa kanilang gumimik.
"I think so?" sagot ni andy habang busy na nagta-type sa kanyang computer.
"Wooah... Alright... alright... sabi mo eh, so ano 'tong naririnig ko na you are dating a girl?"
"Who told you that? Joe?"
"Who else?!"
"Nah. not true..."
"So what's the truth? The Randy Anderson getting mushy for a girl, that's what Joe exactly told me..."
"She's just a friend..."
"See? I caught you! Hahaha... I know you have been thinking of her... so who is this girl- friend?"
"She-is-not-my-girlfriend!" inis na sagot ni Randy.
"Cool lang dude! What i mean is a girl friend! Babaeng kaibigan! See, namumula na naman yang tenga mo eh!"
Lumapit si Jake at umupo sa tumayo sa harap ni Randy.
"So? Ano nga? Do you feel anything for her?"
Seryosong tumingin si Randy kay Jake, he has been one of his best buddies ever since.
"Honestly, i really don't know..."malungkot na tugon ng binata.
"Tsk. tsk.. why dude? What happened? Obviously you like her..."
"How'd you know?"
"Dude, i've never seen you like this before! The Randy Anderson getting serious on his life, what happened to the old you? Since Joe told me about you, i knew that you seem to like this girl..."
"How sure are you?" Randy hesistantly asked him.
"Don't be dumb Randy c'mon! You never had a girl-friend that close to you before, I mean c'mon, you are friends with a lot of women but after making love with them you just threw them away... With her, its very different, you looked fine and you stick to her"
Napapaisip si Randy sa mga sinasabi ng kaibigan...
"And another question dude!" dagdag ni Jake
"What?!"
"Did you slept with her?"
Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Randy. "No! No way, she's not like that!"
"See I told you! You treats her differently, you never treated a girl like that before, well, you had i think with Kim? But nah, never mind... Does it take a Jake Mercado to realize that Gerald Randolph Anderson? Tsk. tsk."
Napapailing na lang si Randy sa kakulitan ng kaibigan but it somewhat hit him... Yes, Jake was right, maybe he likes her, but looks like its too late, Asher seems to be happy whenever Richard is around, Chard is a guy that every girl can dream of while he is a known womanizer-slash-heartbreaker but most of all, he can't bear competing with his own cousin.
