The Long Lost Princess of Equestria

Chapter Three: Saturday

Applejack's P.O.V.

        Applejack woke up at dawn like she normally did. Applejack looked at the beautiful sleeping rainbow haired girl in her arms. She looks so peaceful and happy. Smiling, Applejack pulled Rainbow Dash closer, deciding not to get up yet. A few minutes later she felt Rainbow stir. Applejack watched Rainbow's eyes flutter open. Rainbow met Applejack's gaze and gave her a sleepy smile. "Mornin' honey," said Applejack quietly. "Morning sweetheart," replied Rainbow sleepily. Rainbow gave AJ a quick kiss on the lips before snuggling closer to her. "Come on sleepyhead, the sooner we get up the more time we have t' spend t'gether," said Applejack. "Okay," mumbled Rainbow still half asleep. Rainbow slowly got out of bed, followed by Applejack. Applejack went to her closet and pulled out a red button up shirt and a pair of blue jeans. She went into the bathroom to change while Rainbow got an outfit out of her backpack and changed in the bedroom. Applejack changed slowly, put her hair in its usual low ponytail, put on her cowboy boots and Stetson, and went back out into her bedroom where Rainbow Dash, who had once again ponied up for no reason, was waiting for her.

           Applejack looked at Rainbow and saw she was wearing a black leather jacket over a fitted royal purple sleeveless shirt, midnight blue leggings, a black mini skirt with a gold and dark red phoenix design stitched onto the right side, and the same boots she wore yesterday. She's the most beautiful girl Ah know, and Ah'm not just referring to her looks but her personality too. How did Ah end up with someone like her as mah girlfriend? "Ya look amazin' Rainbow," said Applejack. "So do you," said Rainbow walking over to her. They shared a sweet kiss. Applejack saw Rainbow's pony ears perk up and swivel towards the bedroom door. "Something's not right," said Rainbow looking worried. "What is it?" asked Applejack concerned.

          Rainbow closed her eyes. After a minute Rainbow said, "Your family and friends are in trouble. There's a girl downstairs with a powerful magical object, a crown I think, and she has everyone trapped by vines. I think the girl's name is... Lightning Dust." Applejack scowled as Rainbow opened her eyes. "If it really is Lightning Dust then Ah think Ah know why she's here," said Applejack annoyed. "Why would she be here?" asked Rainbow wearily. "She don't know how t' take no as an answer. She's constantly trying t' get me to be her girlfriend, and touching me in ways that she shouldn't be. If she now has a powerful magic object she's probably going to either mind control me, love spell me, or threaten to destroy mah friends and family if Ah don't agree t' be her girlfriend," said Applejack. Rainbow Dash did not look happy to hear this information. "Well she's not going to get away with it, not with me around," snarled Rainbow. "Thanks Dashie. Let's go rescue mah friends and family," said Applejack, "but first we need a plan."

        A few minutes later Applejack walked downstairs and into the living room. She saw exactly what Rainbow had described to her. AJ's friends and family were held against the wall by vines, and Lightning Dust standing in the middle of the room facing away from Applejack. "Is there anyone else in the house? And where is Applejack?" snapped Lightning Dust. "There's no one else here," said Sunset Shimmer struggling against the vines. "And Ah'm right here," said Applejack pony ears flattening against her head in anger. "Hey AJ," said Lightning Dust coming over to her. Applejack took a step back and glared at Lightning Dust. "What's wrong babe?" asked Lightning Dust pretending to be concerned. "First off, Ah've already told ya not t' call me that. Second off, let mah family and friends go," said Applejack. "I'll only let them go if you give me what I want babe," said Lightning Dust. "No," said Applejack without hesitation. "No? Fine if I can't have you then no one can," said Lightning Dust pulling the Element of Magic, one of the Elements of Harmony from the pony world, out of her purse. Lightning Dust drew magic from the crown and walked closer to AJ.
