The rest of summer flew by for Marinette and her family. Now a week before school Marinette was getting dressed and ready for her tour. Once done she heads to the kitchen and sees Jon and Clark waiting for her. "Are you ready for the tour Mari?" She nods her heads as they all head out. They reach the train station and head to Gotham. Once there they are greeted by Bruce and Damian waiting there with Alfred in the car to drive them. Of course, because two of the Wayne's were there they were getting plenty of attention. Clark and Bruce act like old friends which shocks some people and Jon and Damian also exchange pleasantries. What shocks them the most however is when Marinette hugs Damian, he hugs her back before she moves to hold onto his arm. The people watch as the small girl just listens to the boys (mostly Jon) talk before they hall head into the car where Alfred was waiting to take them to the academy.

Once in the car Marinette sits in between both Jon and Damian and finally asks what had been on her mind since she first joined the Kent's. She taps Damian's should and he turns to her with a raised eyebrow, "Am I gonna be in all of your classes?" is signed. He huffs "No, Father has us in all the same classes minus two of our electives. I believe it is my PE and art we don't have together. I am unsure what your other electives will be but we do have ASL together," she smiles happily to have most of her classes with him. "What about Jon?" she asks, Damian shrugs "He didn't come up," Marinette silently laughs as Jon who was listening complains about third-wheeling, he is ultimately ignored. Unknown to Jon, Damian did make sure that they were most of the same classes but didn't focus it on as much as Marinette. The adults listen with smiles on their faces as the kids continue to talk, mostly Marinette and Jon though with the occasional comment from Damian.

They arrive at the academy with plenty of time to spare and head to the principal's office. Clark knocks on the door and a "Come in," is heard from the other side. He opens and the five walks in. The principal looks shocked to see Bruce and Damian, "Mr. Wayne, Damian I wasn't expecting you," he says in a sort of shaky voice. Bruce smiles "I wanted to make sure my friend Clark and his kids, have a pleasant experience, especially since Damian was very expressive about making sure his friends were only treated with the utmost respect." While the Damian part was untrue as he only said that he wished for them to be in most of the same classes. The message was received of these kids are to be treated as if they are Wayne's. "Of course, we actually have a tour guide here for them if you wish to discuss any problems or concerns while they do that?" he finally states regaining his confidence. Clark looks to Marinette in question who looks uncertain up agrees when she feels Damian gently hold her hand. The kids head out and wait for their tour guide outside the office.

Inside the office, Bruce just smirks at an annoyed Clark "They're gonna get married," is all he says before they turn their attention back to the principal.

Outside the office, the three teens wait less than five minutes when a tour guide shows up. She is round and curvy with tan skin and dark hair and eyes. Overall she is very pretty only being about two inches taller than Marinette. (Marinette is 5'2)

She smiles at the Clark siblings not even paying attention to Damian

She smiles at the Clark siblings not even paying attention to Damian. "Hello I'm Lenora Roldán, you can call me Nora." She smiles "I'm Jonathan Kent and this is Marinette Kent my sister, you can call me Jon," Jon introduces them. She turns to Marinette and finally notices Damian, she does a couple of double-takes between the petite girl and the glaring Wayne. She looks back to Jon "Umm you guys know the Waynes?" Jon scratches the back of his head and laughs, "Yeah our dad's are friends so Damian and I became friends that way, then when we adopted Marinette she and Damian hit it off." She nods her head and watches as Marinette holds onto Damian's arm while playing with his hand. She observes for a bit which causes Marinette to get uncomfortable and hid behind Damian slightly. She notices this but doesn't comment on it instead she holds her hand out to her "want to be friends?" Marinette looks to Jon who smiles and nods his head then looks to Damian who only nods his head. She smiles and shakes her hand before signing to do Jon "Can you ask her if she understands ASL?" He smiles and asks "Do you know ASL my sister is mute," Nora smiles sadly at Marinette "No I don't but I am taking it this year so I'll start learning," before starting the tour. The tour takes a total of 30 minutes and by the end of it, Marinette had a pretty good understanding of the school. She also wasn't too concerned considering she had Damian, Jon, and now Nora to help her. Once the tour ended they headed back to the office to see the principal walking Bruce and Clark out of his office. They turn and see the kids approaching and smile. As usual, Marinette was holding onto Damian, but instead of talking to him or Jon, she was deep in conversation with Nora with Jon translating. "Oh, we should exchange numbers!" Nora suddenly exclaims as she looks at the bluenette. Marinette smiles and pulls her phone out of her purse. Both girls exchange numbers but before they could leave Nora asks Marinette one last question "Hey Mari why do you wear a ring around your neck?" Marinette smiles sadly "it belonged to someone who used to be very important to me, we went our separate ways," Jon translates, Nora nods in understanding, and Damian pulls Marinette the tiniest bit closer. The Kents and Waynes leave the academy and decide to go out to eat.

They decide to go to a restaurant on Gotham's water. It's a seafood place with live music, as usual people stare the entire time they are there. They especially stare at Marinette and Damian mainly because when she wasn't looking he would look at her with a caring expression, a look that hasn't been seen by most of the public if not all of them. Of course, this doesn't go unnoticed by Bruce, Clark, and Jon. "Hello my name is Lily and I'll be your waiter for today, what drinks can I start you off with?" Their waiter asks, "I'll have a water," "Same," "Me as well," The adults plus Damian says "I'll have lemonade," Jon says he then turns to Marinette "I'll have a lemonade too," she signs "She'll have a lemonade as well," he says. Before the waiter leaves "Are we ready to order?" She asks. Everyone looks at each other before they all nod in agreement. "Of course what would you all like?" "I'll have the Shrimp scampi," Bruce, "I'll have the Gumbo," Clark, Marinette signs to Jon "Fish and Chips," he smiles "two Fish and Chips," Damian looks for a bit before "the bean burger,". While they wait for their meal Marinette suddenly gets everyone's attention "So what does my schedule look like?" she questions while looking at Clark. He smiles and pulls out two papers and hands one over to Marinette and one to Jon, as Bruce does the same to Damian. The teens look over Marinette's and see,
1st period- home economics
2nd period- Math
3rd period- Reading
4th period- ASL
5th period- History
6th period- Science
7th period- Girls Athletics.
Both boys notice that the only two periods they all have different were their first and last periods. While Marinette had home economics first period Damian had boys Athletics and Jon had creative writing, during their last period Damian had Art and Jon had boys Athletics. The three teens smile at their schedules, well Jon and Marinette do, Damian was still butt hurt that Mari wasn't in all his classes. The adults listen to the kids talk about school and how they hope it will go as they wait for their food to come. Soon their food arrives and everyone falls into a steady conversation. At the end of the day, Marinette went to sleep hopeful for school to come a week later, hopeful for a new start, for friends. However, she was scared history would repeat.
