Chapter 7

It was the first week of October when Mrs. Garcia (Home economic's teacher) made an announcement that would change everything. "Good Morning students happy Monday, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I have just one announcement before class starts, so we're gonna wait a few minutes in case anyone comes in late." When she finishes she directs her attention to Marinette's table as Noah has a bad habit of running late, it reminds Marinette of herself before she joined the Kents and had Jon and Conner wake her up. Right when the bells ring Noah bursts through the door heaving, hands on his knees, and hair a mess. His eyes scan their table before landing on a smirking Chastity, he glares "You!" he points. Chastity puts on a dumb face and blinks innocently "Me?", "Yes, you! I can't believe you! Why would you tell me that!" At this point, everyone is confused minus the two of them but with their arguments, it's normally the case. "I'm so sorry, but I'm not sure what you're talking about," you could see the mischief in her eyes as she and Noah have a staredown. Finally "Umm guys, mind filling us in?" Nora asks just as curiously. Noah's face flushes and Chastity starts cackling maniacally, right as she was gonna tell everyone Noah zooms over and covers her mouth, "don't you dare," he says before sitting down.

Mrs. Garcia who was silent until now stands up from her desk and moves to the front of the classroom. "Now that our in-class entertainment is done, I have a big announcement. As you know Gotham Academy is directly sponsored by Wayne Enterprise, well they have recently opened up an incoming student exchange program. This means students from all around the world can join us for the remainder of the school year. Now since this is an incoming program you yourself won't be going to another country the students will just be coming here." She continues to go on about the program but at this point, no one is listening, instead, everyone is whispering among themselves. Noticing no one is paying attention Mrs. Garcia claps her hands to gain their attention. Everyone turns to her "Alright everyone I'm going to have Luke pass out some forms for me." Said boy gets up and walks to the teacher and grabs the forms and starts passing them out as Mrs. Garcia continues to talk. "These forms are to be given and discussed over with your parents. They are the forms that say you are willing to share your home with an exchange student. Whether you agree to or not the form must be turned into me by the end of the week. With that said the next 2 weeks' topic we are gonna learn how to smartly spend your money and how to properly do taxes."

After 1st period Marinette and Page walk to reading together when they are stopped by Kieran Victors, Issac Strange, and Curt Hale. "Hey, you're Marinette, right? It's strange to see you not with Wayne, why is that?" Unknown to Marinette Kieran, Issac, and Curt have been each individually trying to separate her from Damian. The reason is no girl wants to date them when there is an available Wayne, especially one in your age group. So most girls turn down other boys in hopes of getting Damian's attention but, with Marinette around, he doesn't even glance at them. So in trying to get back at Damian for basically existing they decided to go to the one person he puts above everyone else, Marinette. "Yes, do I know you?" She asks uncomfortable with the way they look at her. The moment the boys walked up to both girls, Page had already texted Damian and a crowd had started to form. No one approaches Marinette without getting threatened by Damian however, if she approaches you, you're in the clear. "Hey umm, what's your name can you translate?" Issac asks Page, she makes an annoyed face before trying to lead Marinette away. "Whoa whoa whoa, where you going?" One of them says. "Class," Page glares out and starts to leave, the crowd parting as they go, as both girls walk away only Page notices Damian walking towards the boys.

Damian, now standing right in front of the boys, glares at each of them. The students surrounding them start to whisper in anticipation of what he will do. "Never mess with Marinette again," is all he says before walking away, however before he could get too far Curt calls out "Oh yeah what are you gonna do? I don't get why everyone is so scared of you. I can talk to Marinette if I want to, right boys," Issac and Kieran start hyping him up and agree. At this point, the people in the crowd start to really think about it too. Damian doesn't say anything just walks back towards him and punches him in the face, hard. Curt goes flying back and the two other boys start trying to through punches too. They never stood a chance, Damian never even breaks a sweat as he takes on both boys and Curt when he joins back in. The surrounding students watch in awe as Damian destroys the boys in the brawl. It isn't until all three boys give up that Damian walks away but, not before saying "Ever question my capabilities again, or try to mess with anyone I actually care about and you'll wish I was going easy on you. Think of this as a mere demonstration of what I'm truly capable of."

Once he is back in class Damian doesn't say anything as he sits down next to Marinette. Other kids come in whispering about what happened and were tempted to ask about it but one look from Damian shut them up. Marinette notices everyone's behavior decides to ask Damian, she taps his shoulder "Dami, what is everyone whispering about?" he gives her a small smile "Nothing Angel," Marinette gives him an unconvinced look before turning Jon. Damian glares at the rest of the students and they quickly get the message, Marinette isn't to know.

Marinette taps Jon's shoulder, he turns to her with a raised eyebrow. "What's up Mari?" she smiles "Are you excited for the foreign exchange students?". He laughs "Yeah, but they most likely won't be staying with us or Damian." Marinette frowns jokingly before their teacher comes in.

The day had ended and just like everyday Alfred drives Jon and Marinette to the train station however today was different. Once there Jon smiles at Marinette before grabbing his stuff and leaving her in the car with Damian. She turns to him with a confused look, "Would you like to spend the day with me?" he asks. Marinette smiles and nods her head before waving goodbye to Jon. They take off to the manor where they both change into everyday clothes before once again they take off in the car. Alfred drops them off at the mall before driving off. Both teens end up shopping all evening before Alfred had to pick them up for dinner.

After dinner when Marinette was in the restroom Damian approached Alfred "Pennyworth, is it ready?" Alfred smiles "Of course Master Damian." Damian breaths out in relief. He turns when he hears Marinette coming back and calms his nerves, "Angel I have something I wish to show you," he says and holds his arm out for her. Marinette smiles and grabs on as he leads her out to the gardens. They walk quite a bit before they reach a small gazebo, it had fairy lights and flowers surrounding it. In the center was a small table with a present on it. Marinette looks at him and all he does is gestures to the gift. Her face lights up as she runs to open it. Damian comes up from behind as she opens it, inside was a beautiful charm bracelet. There were six charms in total each a beautiful silver, one was a ladybug, one cat, robin, heart, mask, and finally angel wings. "Each charm was custom made, I designed them, do you like it?" Marinette turns around and jumps into his arms, happy tears running down her face. They stay there for a bit before Damian gently pushes her back and looks into her eyes, "Marinette when I met you, I was shocked to see that such an amazing person as yourself had gone through so much pain. You light up my life every day just by smiling in my direction. All the stars in the sky couldn't compare to your beauty, both inside and out. You are so kind and compassionate with so much to love to give. However I'm selfish and want all your love for myself but, I know that I could never have it all. Jon has to have some, so I'll instead I'm only going to ask for only some of it. Marinette Kent, I love you, will you be my girlfriend?" Damian finishes with so much hope I'm his eyes that Marinette does the only thing she can think of, she leans up and kisses him.

In the background both families are watching from inside the manor. "Clark pay up," Bruce says, "You made a bet?" Lois asks slightly annoyed. Bruce smirks "Of course, we betted on when they would get together, and I won. Your husband now owes me 50 dollars." Clark pulls out his wallet "You are already a billionaire I don't know why you need my 50," he mumbles everyone just laughs at his misfortune.
