A/N- I realize Damian would call Jon, Kent but I wanted to make their friendship feel a little bit closer which is why he calls him by his first name. Which yes feels slightly weird to write. He still calls his brothers by their last names just because I feel no matter how close they got he'd still do it. Also in this chapter it may seem like Damian is telling Marinette who to be friends with, he's not she's just trusting his judgment on if he thinks they won't betray her.
The first day of school was here and Marinette was nervous to no end. She and Jon are on their way to the train station and he was trying to distract her only to fail. "I didn't realize I would be this nervous," she signs "Of course but just remember you have me and Damian in pretty much all of your classes, alright" Jon smiles, however, his reassurance pretty much falls on deaf ears. They get on the train and Marinette can't stop fidgeting in her seat so to help her Jon starts telling her the other hero kids' school experiences. It calms her down enough to sit still but her heartbeat was still running wild. When they get to the Gotham station both are shocked to see Damian waiting there to pick them up. "Damian why are you here," Jon questions as Marinette just moves to hold onto his hand, "If you think I was gonna let Marinette walk around Gotham when Alfred could drive her then you are an imbecile," he leads Marinette to the car with a stunned Jon thinking 'Mr. W is right they are gonna get married,' Damian turns and call "Jon hurry up" Jon quickly runs after them and goes hops into the car.
When they get to school there was already a mob of students talking to each other in front of the school. The moment they notice Damian comes they expect to see what they've seen for the past couple of years, and angry Damian storming out of his car slamming it closed on the way out. This time though they still see an annoyed Damian but his face softens when he grabs another backpack and holds out his hand, they watch in anticipation as a porcelain hand appears and grabs Damian's. Damian lightly pulls on the hand and a petite girl appears, she wears a shy smile, as she sees everyone watching her. She's adorable standing at 5'2 with a slim figure, bright blue hair, and bluebell eyes there is even a light dusting of freckles across her nose. Boys watch hoping the Wayne heir lets go of her and he does only to hand her, her backpack before she grabs his arm. They both move out of the way and another boy appears, immediately they notice it's Jonathan Kent son of the famous reporters Lois Lane and Clark Kent. "Are you ready for your first day Mari?" He asks the girl, at this point everyone is excited to hear her voice, most could imagine a high sweet voice to go with her, but they are shocked to see her use sign language. Jon smiles before the three walks in with the girl waving to the man in the car goodbye.
As the three walk many watch but never get too close in fear of Damian. Their stares make Marinette uncomfortable and she not only holds onto Damian but she also grabs Jon's hand. This not only shocked the students but Jon and Damian as she was always closer to Damian than him. However, Jon just smiles and rubs the back of her hand with his thumb in hopes of calming her nerves. Students watch as they walk to the home economics room and drop Marinette off, she hugs them both before walking in and approaching the teacher. The boys wish they could stick around for a bit longer but know they hand to get to class, so they go their separate ways.
Marinette taps the teacher's shoulder startling her. She turns and asks "Name?" she sighs before signing her name "Marinette Kent" She looks confused before someone comes out from behind her, "She said Marinette Kent," she nods before looking back at the girl "And you?" The girl smiles "Page Miles," she nods before saying "will you translator something for me?" She asks thinking Marinette was reading lips. Before she could start saying anything Marinette signs "Oh I don't need a translator I'm mute, not deaf," the girl repeats what she signed to the teacher. She smiles at Marinette "Oh, sorry sugar, but while you might understand me, I don't understand ASL so I need someone to translate what you say to me if that's okay?" Marinette nods in agreement and the teacher tells them to sit at one of the tables. Each table holds 6 people and Marinette and her new translator sit on the far back one. Once they are seated Marinette gets a good look at her, she's a tall slightly muscular black girl towering over Marinette at 5'9, she has tight curls and wears the girl's uniform properly except without the socks, overall she was beautiful.
