💎Hazel's POV:
As soon as we got back on Festus I hugged Nico.
"Hazel, I appreciate the hug, but I can't breathe," Nico gasped out.
I let him go. "You are so careless!" I exclaimed as I whacked him on the arm.
Nico chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry," he said.
I sighed. "When are you going to learn? Do. Not. Get. Kidnapped!"
"Well it wasn't my fault, if I had the choice, I wouldn't have gotten kidnapped," he said.
I sighed as I sat back down on Festus. Nico sat down too, Festus creaked. "I know, just a couple more minutes Festus, then you can relax for the rest of the week, probably more," Leo said, patting the dragon's head.
There was an awkward silence between the ten of us. Finally, Percy broke it. "So is no one gonna comment on how we just knocked out the frigging Avengers?" he said.
"What's an 'Avenger'?" Reyna asked.
"They're superheroes, they save New York a lot, and sometimes the world," Annabeth answered.
"So you're saying Superheroes kidnapped Nico?" I asked.
"Wait. . . that means the people we were texting are Avengers," Leo said with wide eyes.
Will facepalmed. "It was so obvious, how did we not see it! They were obsessed with saving us, and they kept ranting about how wrong it is for kids to fight, even their nicknames were obvious. 'Metal Man' is Tony Stark or Iron Man, 'sTeEb' is Steve Rogers or Captin America, and 'Archery Pigeon is Clint Barton or Hawkeye," he said.
"Aw man, you guys were texting Avengers? Lucky," Percy exclaimed.
"Not really. they kidnapped me," Nico said.
Percy shrugged. "It's still cool though," he said. Nico sighed and shook his head.
"Wow, I knew we had weird lives, but I never imagined we would have a fight with superheroes," Jason said.
"Same. Can our lives get any weirder?" Piper asked.
"NO! DON'T SAY THAT!" Percy exclaimed.
"Why?" Frank asked.
"Rule number one of being a demigod: do not say 'can my life get any weirder?' or 'how hard can it be?' or 'Things can not get any worse.' That's practically you begging the fates to mess your life up. Believe me, I speak from experience," Percy said.
