the memory of accepting that ayaka was no longer attainable pained you. you had to accept it though. tohama is a great guy, he always makes her laugh and always keeps her company that it was only a matter of time before he decides to take ayaka for himself.

you sighed, wiping the hot tears that managed to escape. your glossy eyes glazed over the lined loose leaf paper that you were going to pour your feelings out into. you were going to vent out what you felt as that's how you'd cope with the hard times.

this was just a mini heartbreak. you're only in high school- your life is still way ahead of you. another sigh escaped your lips as you hovered the led of your mechanical pencil onto the white, blank paper, absent-mindedly pouring your feelings out.

today was different. today you'd put your paper of feelings into a bottle. it was summer break anyway in the middle of the day, you had nothing better to do. you can't cry about ayaka for the entire summer.

finally finished, you rolled up the piece of paper and wrapped it around with red ribbon then placed it into a clear glass bottle. putting on the cork to seal the bottle, you stuffed it into your bag and rode a train to the beach.

you really didn't know why you were so desperate in making this a message in a bottle. was it even a message? it was just some teenager being gay and heartbroken- nothing worthwhile to read. getting off the train, you inhaled the scent of salt and the ocean water and forced yourself to smile.

if you were going to send this bottle off, you're sending it off with a smile. walking closer to the seaside with less people, you allowed the warm waves to glaze your feet as you let yourself relax. taking out the bottle, you crouched down to gently let it join the calm sea.

the ocean looked beautiful. its clear, blue color lured you to join in for a swim however you kept your foot down and just watched as the bottle you let go, drift away. it caused you to have some sense of closure in a way.

you accepted that ayaka was happy and that you should be happy for her, your dad is finally coming home to spend time with you during the summer with your little brother, and you're still friends with ayaka... that's all that matters. you have a good life.

and that's when the bottle came across a certain black haired high schooler.
