The next morning

Kate walked in Ellen's room

"Hey" Ellen said

"Hey El, how are you?"

"I've felt better" she tried to joke

"Any more news?" Kate asked

"They don't know how long it will take to let me walk again. They would like to cut me open and repair the nerve at my spine"

"How did Patrick react?"

"He doesn't know yet, the doctor just came to tell me"

"When would they do the surgery"

"Tomorrow.." Ellen said very scared

"Oh.. you sure you're okay?"

"I'm so scared.. I don't want to lose my kids and Patty and you and.."

"You're not gonna die, you're gonna be fine" Kate interrupted

"What if I lose the function in my legs?" Ellen said sad and scared

"Even then we will all be around to support you, we're friends! Patrick loves you and the kids love you too!" Kate said very supportive

Kate stayed around and Ellen fell asleep. Patrick walked into the room.

"Hey, she's asleep?" Patrick asked Kate

"Yes, is it okay if I go grab something to eat?" Kate asked

"Sure, would you mind grabbing me a coffee?"

"Of course, I'll be back in 30min, maybe you should talk to El"

Patrick got curious, why would he need to talk to Ellen? Did something happen this night? Was she in pain? Was there bad news?

"Hey, beauty" Patrick said while rubbing Ellen's cheek

"Hey You're here" Ellen said while opening her eyes

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay, but Patrick we need to talk"

Ohno.. She called him Patrick. He was afraid

"So?"

"Well the doctor came this morning" She started to explain

Ellen explained everything to Patrick. She would need the surgery and she would need to stay a week longer to make sure she's okay. Afterwards she's gonna need PT for a month everyday and they will check after a month.

"I'm gonna support you, we're in this together" Patrick said surprisingly calm

"I love you" Ellen said

"I love you even more," Patrick said and he kissed her. She still couldn't move without a doctor around. "The kids and Sandra will be here in an hour. She's going to stay until after the episode. Jesse and Jessica will come watch in here too and Justin and Chandra too"

"Full house" she joked

"Grey's house" he replied giggling

"Well.. we're gonna watch our own hospital show as fake doctors in a hospital" she said laughing

"It's good to see you laughing again"

"I have my friends and family around me, I couldn't be happier"

She's right. Patrick would never leave her and her friends were always there for her.
