I was out of breath by the time I had made it to the top of the shed. Before me, Six and Mono stood beckoning me over a small plank of wood that seemed to bend more than my sexuality. I had just narrowly missed being shot, once again, and in my time of being a target, they had managed to get to safety. I speedily crossed it, but with my weight, it snapped, having done it's job... partly... "SHIT!" I yelled, falling through the air as both Mono and Six grabbed mt hands.

"Language!" Mono shouts back, smirking. His smirk soon drops as the Hunter bursts into the weary building, aiming his shotgun up. Without a second thought, They pull me up, just in time for a single shot to miss me by a hair. Seconds later we're sprinting, narrowly missing bullets flying through the floor until we go tumbling out of a window. Six rolls down and off the side of the small roof below us, and Mono clings to the edge until I crash into him, knocking us both down into the sludgy water bellow. I throw my head up, gasping for air until I am pulled back, desperately, under the decking that surrounded the small pond. Not even in a blink of an eye, a door above us slams open, causing me to let out a small squeak. This triggers Mono to gently place his hand over my mouth, the other one making a 'shush, calm down' motion before he drops them both carefully to his side. The Hunter continues his prowl, making his way around the edge of the pond and across further. We made sure he was out of our sight before we, as quietly and quickly as possible, made our way through the sludge, only ducking further under the surface to progress into a safe zone. Once there, we gather our bearings, making sure we were all all right. Six had a small bruise on her wrist and a twisted ankle but insisted she was fine whereas Mono had a cut hand from when I so ferociously dragged him from the roof and sent him pummelling to the not so deep depths. "You better nurse me back to health when we're safe." He chuckles, shaking his head before looking ahead.

"You better let go of the roof the next time we fall out of a window when we're in danger." I snapped back, now was not the time for jokes. We inch out further, a log stump shielding us from the Hunter's view. One by one, we crossed to the next stump, careful to make sure we only went when we knew it was safest. From there, we moved quickly to a small land mass, taking refuge behind a semi-broken log. "What now?" I ask. We could continue ahead however the gap between the land mass and the next safe space was far to far for us to swim underwater.

"We take a risk." Mono gestured his head to the log. Six nods.

"If we can knock it over, not only will it lesson the distance to the nest safe place immensely, it gives us somewhere safe to hide in the water if he starts shooting."

"Only problem is, he'll know exactly where we are afterwards, we'll have to move as fast as we can. He won't lose us for a third time." Mono looks down, deep in thought. "It's our only shot." All in agreement, we brace ourselves against the stump, pushing with all our might. After a short while, it fell, and with it, the Hunter's obliviousness. We dove behind the log, narrowly missing a fatal shot. Six dove ahead, making it past the next safe place and up a ladder, over a land mass ahead of us and out of sight. After a short while, crows were heard in the distance, drawing the Hunter's ever vigilant gaze away from the log and leading him away. Mono and I exchange looks, moving forward with as much speed as we could gather. We climbed the ladder and sprinted across the top of the small stretch of earth. The Hunter was reviewing the area with unchallenged detail, noting everything and preparing his rifle.

"Hey!" We heard the whispered shout, in a shed, a little further down the way stood Six. She waved her hand furiously, indicating that they needed to get there. ASAP. With a quick glance and a nod, we both dropped down, making a break for the door. The Hunter noticed immediately, aiming right for us. We make it to the shed just as a bang echoes through the forest, Six closing and locking the door right behind us. It doesn't do much as the Hunter proceeds to break through it, eager to get his hands on us. A bang behind me makes me jump, Mono in trying to pull a gun up, I grab the other end, lifting it so the barrel was facing the Hunter, and he pulled the trigger.

I felt myself get thrown backwards, colliding with Mono, who protectively wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me close. The ringing was back, I couldn't hear anything but the static of my own mind. Movement. Six was helping us up to our feet, but my knees just kept shaking and I nearly collapsed back down to the floor. Mono grabs my shoulders, looking me in the eyes and saying something that I couldn't hear. He pulls me in, cradling me against his chest before Six joins in too. And we stand there, Wrapped in one another's embrace. Wrapped in the embrace of murderers. No.

Survivors.
