I come to in an all too familiar scene, wrapped in Mono's arms with Sox worriedly staring at me.
"You okay there?" Six moves forwards, pushing a stray hair out of my face and cupping my cheek, brushing her thumb against it lightly.
"W-what happened?" I go to sit up, but Mono just tightens his grip and rests his chin on my head.
"The same thing as on the stairs a while back, are you sure you're okay?" He asks, and I can't see his expression but I can already see his brows knitted together in concern. I nod my head slightly, hearing him sigh; in relief or annoyance I'm not sure... "Tell me the truth." Definitely annoyance.
"I am, I promise-"
"Don't start that bullshit with me love, you're not okay, just tell us the truth!" His voice raised in frustration and he unwinds himself from me as he settles a harsh judging gaze on my back.
"I am-"
"Let's keep moving, we don't have any time to waste." He walks off and Six shoots me a sympathetic look.
"Is he right? Are you actually okay? Or are you just saying it?"
"I'm fine Six... I swear I'll be fine..."***
I noticed they had moved me in my blacked out state, and we were no longer outside. Instead, we were in what looked to be a hospital room from what I could see. Mono had found a flashlight and I could see it bouncing off the walls in the distance. I make my way, with Six, into a small room with a drinks dispenser and a door. Sodas were scattered across the floor and Mono had already continued on his way.
"He's really mad at me isn't he?"
"I guess, but he can't stay mad at you forever, he cares about you too much." Six wraps her arms around my middle as we walk on.
"How do you know that? Hm?"
"I've seen the way he looks at you, like your an angel in the midst of hell. His eyes almost quite literally become hearts when he sees you and he relaxes more when your with him. He always checks on me and I'm grateful for that but for you it's a full blown inspection to make sure nothing has harmed you in any way. I swear, if he could, he would just disappear off the face of the planet to just be with you somewhere where you can relax and be yourselves. One day, I want to find me the Mono to my (Y/N)..." Six trails off as we scream in agony.
Mono.
Gripping my ears, I push forwards and into the next room where Mono is stood, hand resting on a TV.
"MONO NO!" Too late. He's through. The noise doesn't stop as I make my way forwards, it only ceases after I have pulled him by the neck of his coat out of the TV. "What the fuck!!" I don't waste any time in scolding him. "Again Mono! You said you'd never do it again!"
"I guess people lie sometimes. But you already know that." He scowls at me, pushing himself off the floor and looking around the room. I didn't move from my spot on the floor, too much in shock to move.
"Mono... rude... nothing but.... loves you! Stop... jerk!" I hear some hushed words coming from Six and Monk just scoffs before leaving. Six wanders over to me, pulling me into her chest. "Hey it's okay, he's a jerk, he doesn't deserve everything you do for him. C'mon, let's show him just how bitchy we can be huh? That'll teach him." I giggle as a tear rolls down my cheek, she wipes it away and pulls me up, jumping into my back. "Now onwards noble steed! We have some bitchin' to do!" I laugh before galloping forwards and past Mono, into a hallway with a toy room, elevator and X-ray. Six jumps off my back and turns the machine on, running behind it and stringing a pose. I giggle, joining her behind the X-ray and doing the same, by the time Mono walked in, Six was on my shoulders and we were pretending to be a dragon.
"Stop being childish, we've got stuff we need to do." He grumps, crossing his arms.
"Yeah like each other." I smirk walking around the side of the machine. He seems stunned for a moment, a blush taking over his features. After a short while he regains his posture, glaring at me, his eyes dark with an emotion he was refusing."Isn't that right Six?" Six nods, linking arms with me and kissing my cheek.
"Dam right darling, but maybe we can do that later, when there isn't a weasel watching." She pulls me off to the side and we study pictures on the wall, one specifically caught my attention, it was one of a teddy with a key inside it. Me and Six exchange a look and run into the toy room, leaving a still stunned Mono behind.
We gather all the teddies from the toy room and line them up behind the X-ray machine, turning it on and seeing that the second from the right had a key stuffed inside it. I go and collect it and six grabs a toy duck.
"Why do you have a duck?" I laugh and she shrugs, sticking her tongue out at me.
"Because I wants one." She pouts, making her voice sound baby-ish. We once again burst out laughing and make our way to the elevator. "I hope there's something down here that might help us actually get into this teddy, we almost definitely need that key." I nod in agreement as the elevator hits the next level. An incinerator. Perfect. We lock eyes before sprinting over to if, throwing in the objects and setting it off.
"I think we broke Mono." Six points out, noticing he still hadn't joined us.
"Serves him right." I reply, a sour undertone to my voice.
"Wow, you're really taking this 'bitchin'' thing seriously."
"What can I say, someone must have forgotten to get me my 'no-bitchin-meds"
"Oh no! Who forgot your repeat prescription!?" We laugh again, and the incinerator finishes up.
