Unexpected Love

Chapter 23.

It was soon Christmas morning and leaving my bed was very difficult as it was extremely cold and foggy outside. A pure white sheet of snow was delicately covering the ground outside.
I was excited to open presents so I slowly dragged my feet out of my covers. I hopped out of bed and threw on a big jumper and some jeans. I decided to run along to Severus' room so we could open our presents together.
I couldn't wait any longer, I hurried out of my room eagerly knocking on His door.
It swung open revealing a tired looking Severus standing at the other side of the doorway. He rubbed his eyes looking at me.

"Come in"he mumbled taking his hand and putting it behind my back to show me in.

"Merry Christmas Severus" I Exclaimed happily spinning around and Landing onto his bed which hadn't been made yet.

"Merry Christmas Darling" Severus spoke while slowly striding over to sit next to me.

"Can i open the present you got me" I said beaming at the box in my hands.

"You may" Severus replied putting his arm around me.

I screeched in joy as I fumbled with the box. I untied the ribbon wrapped around the square box and started to take the lid off. It revealed a well placed necklace. It was a dark green Sapphire in the shape of an oval. Small gold diamonds lined the sapphire making it sparkle in the light. Just above the sapphire was a silver diamond strapped to the bottom of the gold chain which connected it all. It was truly breathtaking.

I gasped as I admired it more.

"Severus"
"This- It's truly beautiful" I blurted my grin becoming as bigger then ever. I tightly wrapped my arms around Severus embracing him. I looked up and placed a rough kiss on his lips making him smile against me.

"I'm glad you like it" he smiled planting more kisses on my lips and down my neck.
"May i"

"Of course"I replied handing him the necklace.
Severus took it and hung it around my neck. The sapphire sat nicely just above my chest.

"I really love it Severus"
"Now for you to open my presents"I beamed.

"Very well"
Severus carefully grabbed the bag I gave him and put it in front of him. He took out the first present and tore it open. Severus admired the notebook I had bought.

"Celia"His eyes widened.
'This notebook is perfect. In fact I had been looking at this not so long ago" Severus spoke.

"I know" I chuckled to myself.
"Now open the other one" I grinned.

He shredded the wrapping paper letting the bottle fall into his lap.

"This is what I wear"he smiled.

Severus pulled me into him holding me with his arms. He placed a kiss onto my lips.

"I love them"he smiled clasping me tighter.

I raced down stairs into the drawing room to see if I had any presents arrive and if my parents got me anything, which they do the odd time.
I had sent Cora and Taylah their presents with an owl one day this past week so I was hoping I would receive something from them.

"Do I have any presents" I exclaimed sitting down quickly.

"Good morning to you to" my father huffed.

"Yes yes morning. So Do I" I kept bugging him

"Here" He stated pushing two presents in front of me.

I read the labels and of course they where from Cora and Taylah. I tore open the paper and it revealed some sweets from Cora and some chocolate frogs from Taylah. I smiled to myself.

"Where did you get that"Draco sneered walking towards me.

"Get what" I replied.

"That thing hanging around your neck" Draco declared causing both my parents too look my way.

"Oh this"I mumbled looking down to examine the Beauty.

"Yes that"he snapped.

"A friend" I hastily replied.

"Huh and what friend is that"he grinned.

"Nobody"
"Who is that girl you got a present for Draco"I replied with a smirk forming on my lips.

"Shut up"Draco murmured walking out of the drawing room at a quick pace.

"Ha i win" I said to myself quietly.
I took my presents and shoved them in my pocket and grabbed a goblet of juice.

"You return to Hogwarts in a couple of days Celia" my father bellowed.

"Yes"

"And you do not need to serve detention with Severus any longer"

"Great" I replied looking at the floor.

"Look at me"he declared pinning his cane underneath my chin to aggressively turn my head up to him.

"Sorry" I mumbled trying to step back.

I am so glad to be retuning to Hogwarts. I couldn't stay another minute in that house with my father tormenting me, and Draco not treating me any better. The only person who doesn't put misery down on me is my mother, she doesn't really get a say in anything though it's always my father who puts in decisions which I think is unfair but I guess that's life.
