FEBRUARY 13th. 1999
SAGE WALTMORE

I STARE AT the transparent corset. The blood red polyester flowers covering the over bust of the corset. White Transparent corset with red flowers. I studied the rest of the dress, the skirt of the dress was also transparent but layered so no one could really see what underwear you'd be wearing. I touched the soft Voile fabric, how soft and light it is. The skirt of the dress stopped right above the calf.

"You want me to wear this to a Valentines party?" I asked, shocked.

Draco's pale hands gripped the skirt of the dress as he tossed it onto my bed. "Hey!" I snapped.

"That's a nice dress, don't ruin it!" I said.

"That dress is older than you'll ever be. Passed down from generation to generation, do you think I care about that?" He asked. I squinted my eyes at him in annoyance. "That's even better," I replied proudly. I pulled the ends of the skirt down, straightening it out onto the bed.

The ends of the skirt falling off of the edge of the bed. "Hey," Someone said lightly.

I turned my head towards the wall still bending over. I caught eyes with dark ones. I examined the thin white dress over a dark green turtleneck. Her black boots and white knee high crew socks. I looked up at her soft dark brown hair that rested against her chest. Edelyn as always.

"Hi—Ed..." I said with hesitation. "Hello!" She replied chirpily. She gave Draco a harsh look, I watched as she examined his body, then stared at the floor. She swayed her body back and forth. "Malfoy..." she started.

"Sage what's he doing in our dorm?" She asked. I turned my head back to the dress. Gripping it tightly as I began to compose myself. "A nice dress...his mother sent it" I said, staring at the dress.

"Ah, Cissy. What a nice lady she is." She said with a soft sigh.

I picked my head up and looked at Edelyn again. She now stared at Draco with a soft smirk. She walked towards my bed still staring at Draco. I dropped my head again.

"I went to the Manor because Draco wanted to caress my pretty soft skin, grip my bare stomach and slide his co-" I cut her off.

I picked my head up to look at her. "Edelyn. Why not go outside and take a nice walk." I suggested.

She looked at me and smiled. "Oh how wonderful! I will do that," She said. She hurried out of the room, closing the door. I sighed in relief at her disappearance.

I flicked my thumb against my bottom lip twice trying not to make eye contact with Draco. "I- that  was a while ago. I would never give her a dress or do the things I've done for you. Special people don't have this done to" He said. I looked up at him. "Special people?" I asked. "Ye-yes" he hesitated. Why did he hesitate?

He stepped in front of me with his back facing me, leaning down and straightening out the dress.

Special people?

Am I special to him?

I took a few steps back and stared at the dark floor. I couldn't help but notice that Draco stood up straight. He turned his head to the side not saying anything. Is there anything to say? I wouldn't want to make him leave. He took me by surprise as he cupped my face lightly.

"Special people don't have this done to them. Alright? You understand that I'll always be with you. Everywhere. You don't have to worry anymore" He said with a smile. His eyes lubricated as he smiled.

He's telling the truth?

"Ok...I believe you." I said. I'm having a hard time believing him. He gave me one last smile before turning back to the dress. "Red- is it your favorite color?" He asked. His tone. He already knows it's my favorite color.

"Yes. Red is my favorite color" I responded with a fake smile. "That's perfect," He said with delight.

Yeah...

All of this is perfect.

I think.

"Did you try on the dress?" Harry asked. "Harry! Don't taunt her about it!" Ginny shouted. "What- she's like a sister to me" He continued. "The dress is probably poisoned," He said, lowering his voice.

"I can hear you Harry..." I said. "Sorry. Just be careful-"

"Come on Harry!" Ginny interrupted. "Alright, Alright. Be safe Sage!" Harry shouted as Ginny pulled him out of the library. Thank god I'm the only one here or else-

I jumped as hands slapped the table. "You talk to Harry?" A masculine voice asked. I looked up at none other than Draco.

Why is he always here?

"Yes- he's like my brother. I got introduced in second year- and- did you just call him Harry?" I asked in utter shock. He scowled at me in disgust. "No! Yes but no! Potter, do you talk to Potter?" He asked again.

"Yes." I repeated. His expression lowered. "Oh. Well I thin-"

"He's like a brother to me. Just deal with it?" I asked pleadingly.

His face filled with rage as he slammed the table again. "Fine! If you don't want- I think- fuck- Why?!" He shouted. I closed my fist. "You want me to not be a sister to Harry?" I asked in shock.

"No! Just forget it!" He said walking away. The fuck? He acts like a fucking cat in water.

I giggled at his reaction.

Hopefully he isn't upset with me over a stupid truthful thing.

I stared at the written poem.

I can write.
I can see.
I am brave.
I can't write my emotions down.
I can't see through lies.
And I can't speak up.

It read.

What am I?

What are you?

Who are you?

Who am I?
