Three - Escape From Ambush

On the top of the hill , the Headless Mistress stand still with her verbal assistant demon. The severed head of Valaria Herseleona smiling with excitement , curious to snatch back her body by severing the head of Carlene. However the Headless Mistress plan is foiled as the large rock is broken into tiny pieces. The car of Douglas Hansom remains intact. Inside the car , Douglas immediately press his foot on the gas paddle and drive upward to reach the top of the hill.

" How the hell we are still alive , Douglas? "

Carlene asked

" The ancient scroll enchanted the car which prevented our demise. "

Douglas replied while turn his car left right to evade large rock . The Headless Mistress non verbally instructed her demon assistant to stay put. She then take out her revolver and shoot at the car from above. Douglas quickly avoid the shoots and instructs Carlene to shoot at her evil counterpart. Carlene roll down the window and aim her revolver at the Headless Mistress . Carlene fired three shots at Headless Mistress while Douglas turn to the other side of the hill. The Headless Mistress fire two rounds of bullet that hit on roof of the car. But the care remains intact. Carlene fire three more shots at Headless Mistress with incendiary round at Headless Mistress. This time the Headless Mistress finches back, evading he herself away out of Carlene's sight .

" She got hurt . "
Carlene said in excitement.

" You may shot her with holy incendiary round but she's not out. Take the wheel and keep the scroll in the compartment. "

Douglas said and quickly vanish from the car with no trace. Carlene immediately grabbed the steering wheel and hop on the driver seat to assume control of the vehicle. Meanwhile , boiling blood pouring down from the wound impact of Headless Mistress. Her demonic assistant come towards her to tend her wounds. She wave forward her hand to her assistant, instruct him to carry on with the assault.  The demon assistant summoned large boulders to crush the car driving by Carlene.   Suddenly Douglas slashed the demon assistant's hand disrupting the spell which faded the large volcanic boulders. Headless Mistress fire her revolver at Douglas. Douglas rush towards the Headless Mistress after getting shot.

" Say the verse of the scroll "

The voice of Evangeline spoke to Carlene by telepathy.

" But I am driving, how am I going to say the verse? "

Carlene asked by telepathy.

" Do not worry , Carlene . I already blessed your transport with the angel's command. It shall heed my words to your destination. "

Evangeline replied via telepathy.

Carlene grab the scroll and a see a sparkling Raepheniology verses.

" In the aid of the Lord of all creations , send us the fire. 

The fire that blaze upon the malevolent being that brought chaos upon the creation of mankind.

Banish the malevolent entity to the world that devours them for their malicious intents.

SUMMON HELLFIRE ! "

The scroll shines , forcing Carlene to cover her eyes. Douglas  saw the body of Headless Mistress being burned and the revenant fire scorches around her to contained the malevolent demonic lady. Her Demon assistant run towards her to save her. Douglas killed the demon assistant of the Headless Mistress. The head of Valaria Herseleona glare at Douglas , furious of killing her Demon assistant. At split second , the Headless Mistress vanished , leaving a smoke impact on the ground. Douglas sheathed his katana and look down from the hill to see Carlene reaching on the top .

After some time , Carlene and Douglas  drive on highway to reach their destination.

" I can't believe the verse actually worked. "

Carlene said.

" The verse may physically destroyed her . But that doesn't stop her to reclaim her body. Carlene you have to remember that your other half is still a Demi- goddess. So hellfire may not work second time. "

Douglas replied.

" The whole fight would have been easier if Azeil was still around. "

Carlene replied.

" If he were still around, you would have been more dependent on him. Your half-sister would never want that. "

Douglas replied.

" Douglas , I am not Lara Croft. I am not going to cover wars like some   robot soldiers. I really need to reunite with my band for new song. Besides , I wanted to select non-violent career in a flamboyant way. "

Carlene  replied to Douglas .

" Travelers , you shall drift to the North , on the Forestside of Heilfeige. There you will see a ruined valley of Ramodiazs . "

The voice of Evangeline spoke both to Douglas and Carlene. 

The drive was long hour journey. Carlene and Douglas drifted away from deserted hillside to the woods.  They noticed some of trees were cut down , ruined valley with broken stones and vague inscriptions. 

" Looks like we have arrived on ruined valley of Ramodiazs"

Carlene said. 

Douglas parked his car and armed himself to prepare for the inevitable upcoming battle. Both Douglas and Carlene get out of the car to find the hidden passage.  Carlene used her spectre instinct to find out the clue of the hidden  passage. A trail of aurura emerges around the valley , navigating the location of the hidden passage. Carlene tells Douglas to follow her. After following the trail, they found a wall with no symbols.

" We are here.  "
Carlene said .

Douglas draw his katana to slash the wall.

" You don't need to struck down the wall, Mister Hansom. Place your hand on the right side of the wall. Carlene , you must do the same. "

The voice of Evangeline echoes through Douglas's and Carlene's mind.  Douglas place his hand on the right side of the wall as Carlene placed hers on the left. The wall suddenly shattered , revealing a warpgate to other place.  Douglas and Carlene are dragged into the warpgate , repairing the broken wall with the shattered pieces and debris leaving no trace of intrusion behind.

Meanwhile in the church , Brother Jerome came to Father Lowenthal with a bad news. Not the bad news, but the news that shivers the holy people of church.

" Father Lowenthal.  You must leave the church. I had brought you a grave news. I have no time to clarify. But for Lord's sake, you must leave. "

Brother Jerome said to Father Lowenthal.

" For whom shall I leave the holy ground , Brother Jerome? "

Father Lowenthal asked.

" There's a group of soldiers that will brought down this church on fire. Like us , you are no longer safe in this church.  Those soldiers have destroyed the other religious grounds and they announced that they will do the same to this church. Leave while there's still a time. You have to find another religious grounds other than this church. "

Brother Jerome warned Father Lowenthal. 

" Do not worry, Brother Jerome. I can assure you that no sinners can put down this church on fire. Take your people and hide in the secret passage. Have a faith in lord of all creations , I shall negotiate with the malevolent militia. "

Father Lowenthal stand up and secretly instructed Brother Jerome about a scheme.
