Eight - Journey to the Neveria Canyon

Azeil rides on the motorcycle to drift across the deserts of Neveria Canyon. He knew that he and Carlene cannot stay in this universe much longer. As soon as he found Carlene , he will travel to another dimension to reactivate the Reapaer Sword.

Meanwhile , Carlene and Douglas driving on Southern highways.

" It's strange. There's no sign of any Stredos task force coming for us after the incident of Dark Void. "

Carlene said while lying her head on the soft pillow of the passenger seat.

" He withdrew the taskforce as he knows what we are capable of. There's no telling that the taskforce will come after us again. "

Douglas replied while driving the car.

Carlene suddenly hears a whistle of a missile coming behind the car.

"Turn Right! "

Carlene yelled

Douglas roll down his steering wheel to evade a flying missile.
Within a split second , Douglas noticed a symbol that he recognized on sight.

" Stredos taskforce are back. "

Carlene said.

" No, not Stredos. It's far worse than what we expected."

Douglas replied.

Carlene roll down the window and draw her signature revolver at the new enemy. Carlene shoot at driving armored vehicles of the militia. But the shots didn't slow them down. Their armored vehicles can withstand enchanted weapons.

" They are not slowing down. Douglas do you have any weapons that can slow them down? "

Carlene asked.

" No, I don't have any such weapons. But try smoke grenade. "

Return the agent.

Carlene opened a compartment and grabbed a smoke grenade. She then throw the smoke grenade on two of the armor vehicles particularly with chain gun turrets. The smoke revealed that the cars are reinforced EMP shield. Carlene shoot at the cactuses in order to slow the militia down. This time , some of the armored militia vehicles topple one another creating a traffic jam in the desert. However rest of the armored vehicles are still on pursuit. Douglas unrested his foot on the gas paddle , trying his best to evade the militia of Big Rifle Organization.
He thought The Big Rifle Organization had been dissolved but he never expected them to resurface again. Douglas then press a button to release anti EMP Mine grenade. The fastest armoured car of Big Rifle Militia get rough greetings from Douglas as the magnetic mine grenade immediately attach to the metallic wheel , causing an electro magnetic field explosion to killed the militias on board. The rest of the militia started to fire turrets at Douglas's car. Douglas tried his best to avoid the shots. The bullets fired by the militia were also blessed , damaging Douglas's car like a battered tin. Even the bulletproof components of the car couldn't deflected a single bullet . Carlene ducked to avoid getting shot.

On the hillside of Neveria Deserts , the engine of the Richard Gaveron roars like a lion participate in a daring contest. Azeil drive him and slide in mid air with a summoned cannon turrets besides the motorcycle. The intangible firearms bark with intense shot , killing off the militia left and right. Not even their EMP shield couldn't protect them from the inevitable. Carlene saw Azeil turning his Richard Gaveron Motorcycle towards the car that Douglas is driving. Azeil summoned the intangible fire cannon at the backside of the motorcycle , creating a large fire blaze to blind side the militia force.
Douglas noticed at the rear view mirror, seeing Azeil catching up with his ride.
