Finally.. - Finale

Finally.. - *Smarty's POV*

I watched as Chilled and Conor walked into the house

"Uncle John I reme-"

"Shut up!" Chilled growled as he walked over to me

"I need you to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth" He stared into my soul

"Are we in court or something" I smirked but he didn't enjoy the joke

"No John but I need to know if my son is lying to help you or not"

"Conor please go talk to your mother" He nodded running out of the room

That's when I sat down and told my side of the story leaving nothing out and making sure he understood that is was my fault and Maddie had nothing to do with any of it.

"I love her Anthony, the same way you love Emily or Conor. I want to protect her with my life but I also want to be here for my family and I don't want you to make me pick" He nodded slowly as he left the room to go talk with Conor

"John?" I jumped up as if a doctor was telling me if I had cancer or not

He looked at the ground playing with his hands

"I care so much about my family.. I never want anyone to hurt them.. Part of me was always scared that maybe Maddie would as she hurt you so bad when she left. But that wasn't her fault as it was just the situation at the time"

"It's not me you have to apologise to.." I looked at him 

*Maddie's POV*

"Maddie!" I looked up as John ran over to me grabbing me tight by the waist

"Chil-Anthony finally listened" I held him as I felt his body shake as he pushed out the words

"So y-"

"Maddie I am sorry, John is most of my family at this point in time and I selfishly tried to do what I thought was correct to help my family. What I did not realise is that John truly does love you and you both deserve to me happy" I turned around seeing Anthony walking over carrying Conor

"That means so much, thank you Anthony" I hugged him

"We did it!" Conor cheered

I smiled softly as the child smiled at both of us

"The story will now be true Uncle John"

"Hopefully Buddy" He smiled 

"What story?" I asked

"Just a fairy tale" He laughed

"But life isn't a fairy tale" I looked at him

"Maybe you just have to let it be.." He softly creased my cheek before kissing me softly. It was like the first kiss we had before we left Melbourne ten years ago except this time I knew that we were both here to stay.

I am sorry to finish this one so quick but classes start on Monday and I was scared I would get lost in study. 

I will continue to write but it will be sloooooow.
