The Festival - *Smarty's POV*
"What!?" Conor yelled at Chilled
"You are not going to the festival" He looked the kid straight in the eyes
"But Mum!" He yelled
"Don't bring me into this" Emily gave me my coffee, sitting at the table
"Uncle John could take me" He smiled at me
"No"
"What about you two?"
"Oh buddy your mother and myself will be going, but Kate Mathewson is going to baby sit you"
"Look I could take him..." I added
"Smarty no, he needs to learn" Chilled sighed pulling his hand through his hair
"Well I'm going with Maddie"
"Aww!" Emily yelled
"I don't want to go!" Conor yelled
"What was that son?" Chilled's evil smile grew across his face
"If she goes I'm out"
"John youre taking Conor"
"I can't bloody win!" Conor yelled falling on the ground
"Language!" Emily yelled
"Dad says it!"
"Anthony!" She stared at him
"Wha? I do it for my job remember" He smiled with a mouthful of food as she rolled her eyes
I laughed watching Conor starting to fake kill himself while Emily and Chilled talked
*FESTIVAL*
I looked around at the gate for Maddie
"I feel sick" Conor complained
"Lie"
"I'm allergic to grass"
"Your standing on it now"
"I hate you"
"Good, I sold your birthday present anyway" I smiled
"Ouch, that's mean" I laughed fluffing his hair
"Hey guys" Maddie waved
"Double hate" Conor mumbled as I stabbed his side
"Kate or here?"
"Here.."
"Hey Maddie" I smiled
"Hi" Conor pushed out
It was just a usual carnival thing but with live bands and lots of food
"So Maddie how was Unive-"
"I'm hungry!" Conor yelled as I gave him some money
"What did you say?" She softly smiled
"How was University?"
"Oh it was alright, just focused on getting great scores, I didn't really party or anything"
"Fair enough, any spo-"
"I don't have enough money!" He yelled again
"here is $200 do what you want, we are going to go on a walk"
"But what if da-"
"Heres another $20 stay out of their sight!"
"Deal" He smirked running off with his friends
"Are you sure he will be okay?" Maddie watched him run off
"He knows his way around plus he has Ryan's parents"
"Oh okay, can we not be long though, I would like to keep him out of trouble" I nodded softly holding her hand as she let me
"So has there been anyone else?" I asked
"Not really.. Crushes but you did always stay on my mind"
"Oh.." I looked down at the ground
"I'm sorry I stopped writing"
"It's fine, we are both to blame"
"Sm-John.." I stopped holding both of her hands
"I still care about you"
"I do too"
"I mean I think I lo-"
We heard people start to scream and smoke coming from the rides
"Conor!" She grabbed my hand running towards it
"Conor!" I yelled
"Conor! Please answer us!" Maddie screamed
"Smarty, Maddie! We have to get out of here!" Chilled ran over to us looking around
"Wait where is... No!... No!"
"Anthony I am so sorry!"
"I trusted you with my son!"
"Chilled it is my fau-" Maddie tried to but in
"Leave us alone! My family! Myself! and John! I never want to see your face again!" He yelled louder
"I'm sorry" I whispered to he as she ran off
"I swear to god John if he is de-"
"They found him!" Emily yelled as we ran over
"Daddy it isn't John's fau-"
"Shhh dude, we can talk later" Chilled kissed his head before they put him in the ambulance
