The Meeting - Part 10

The Meeting - *Smarty's POV*

"Hello?"

"Hey can you come to Conor's school around 5?" Emily asked on the other end of the phone

"Sure, what happened?" She just sighed

"Guess who his new teacher is"

"Someone he doesn't like?" I joked

"Maddie." Oh, that was the worst time to joke..

"What? Why did he get in trouble then?"

"He yelled at her for yelling at you"

"Em I am so sorry he heard the fight, I didn't know he wou-" I started to ramble

"John it's fine, neither of you knew, Chilled nor myself blame either one of you"

"So I'll see you at 5?" 

"Yeah, I'll be there with bells on"

"Also, John.. Don't start anything" 

With that she hung up, What could she mean by "Don't start anything"? 

I guess the only reasonable answer is that we don't fight again

*Maddie's POV*

I started to pack up, it's true that the first day of work is the hardest. 

"Miss Sanderson?" I turned towards the door seeing Emily standing there

"Oh hey Em" I smiled 

"We have a meeting with you and the Principal" She spoke slowly walking closer

"Yeah, do you mind if we have it here?" I asked 

"No, but Smarty is coming as Chilled is away with work and I need some male take on this" 

"That's fine, I'll behave" I laughed 

"Hello Mrs Youtube" Mr Johnston walked up behind us with Conor

"Hello Sir" We sat down as he started to explain to Emily what had happened

"SO from what I heard from both parties, there was a bit of an event Christmas day between Miss Sanderson an-" 

"Sorry I'm late" Smarty walked over sitting next to Conor

"As I was saying, there was a bit of an event Christmas day between Miss Sanderson and a gentlemen by the name of John Murray" Smarty slowly raised his hand

"That would be me" He replied as the Principal just rolled his eyes

"Anyway today in class Conor was still upset by the fact she had yelled at his Uncle John and when he found out that she was his new teacher he went off"

"He got that from his dad" Emily added

"Well in conclusion I won't be changing his class they will just have to get along and he will have detention for the next week"

"No!" Conor yelled

"Would you rather be suspended?" 

"Yes!" Conor yelled

"No!" Emily replied at the same time

"Okay so the final punishment is detention for one week, are we all fine with that?" Everyone nodded

"Well it was nice to meet you Mrs Youtube and Mr Murray" 

I stayed at my desk watching the room become empty starting to mark the pop quiz" 

"Maddie?" I jumped seeing Smarty at the door

"You never told me your last name was Murray"

"You never asked" He smiled

"I wanted to ask is you wanted to hang out on Saturday, the festival is in town and I thought you might enjoy it" He mumbled nervous

"I would really love to-"

"It's fine I understand" He looked at the ground

"Let me finish, I do want to go with you" I smiled

"Oh ahh okay, I'll pick you up 3:30 Saturday" He smiled leaving, I just waited

"I don't know where you live" He poked his head back in the door as I started laughing

"I'll text you the address" 

"Ohh Maddie, Your laugh is still as adorable as it was the first time I heard it" He winked as his head disappeared

I think this would be what people call a date but personally I didn't want to decide that yet, I'll just wait to Saturday to find out
