Chapter 26

Alicia's POV:
When my eyes open I am no longer in Jake's arms. The events of last night play in my head. I hear a beeping noise and I see the face of Grandpa.

"Alicia, you're up," he softly smiled.

"Yeah.. Why did I leave my room?" I asked.

"Well I needed to patch you up more. Jacob allowed me to take you even though you were sound asleep in his arms because he loves you," He smiled.

I can't help but smile at this. Words cannot describe how much I love Jacob.

"Well can I see Jake now?" I asked him.

"Of course. Hold on for a minutes," He said before leaving the room. It's not long before Jake walked through the door.

"Alicia," he says before embracing me.

"Jake I love you so much," I cried into his shoulder, "I thought I'd never see you again."

"I love you too. I thought I lost you," he said with tears brimming his eyes. I softly kissed away his tears. I held his cheek then lightly kiss his lips. He kissed back immediately. And soon the sparks erupt between us.  We eventually pulled away and smiled.

Ella and JJ walk into the room.

"Hey mom," they smiled.

"Hey guys," I returned the smile.

"How are you feeling?" Ella asked me.

"Better than before," I answered.

"Okay.  We just wanted to make sure.  I love you mom," they both kissed my cheek.

They left the room.

"Did that guy say why he took you?" Jake asked me.

"He said I was his mate," my fingers knotted together, "He said he watched me my whole life.

Jake's eyes glazed over. 

"I'll kill him," he growled.

"Jake.  It's okay.  I'm only yours," I held his cheek.

"You don't get it Alicia! He could've killed you.  I would've never seen you again," Jake yelled.

I flinched at the tone of his voice.  He's never yelled at me before.

"Jake.  Calm down," I soothe.

"I can't!" He buried his face into the crook of my neck.

"You can," I lightly kissed the top of his head.

"I love you so much," he said before he kissed me.

"I love you too," I said against his lips.

2 days later.

I'm feeling much better now.  Jacob still hasn't let me out of his sight.  He's with me from the second I wake up until the second I fall asleep.  He's amazing.

We're outside right now. Jacob was in his wolf form. I'm perched on top of him. I stroked his fur and he closed his eyes at the touch. Suddenly, his eyes snapped open. He growled.

"Jake what is it?"

It's a new scent. I don't recognize it.

I slid off of his back. He followed close behind. I trailed through the woods and listened intently. All of a sudden I get pinned against a tree.

"I knew I'd find you," Aaron's breath fanned my face.

He's ripped off of me. Jacob pinned him against the snow with his paws pressed tightly against his chest.

"Lucky your dog was here to save you this time," he smirked.

"You almost killed me! Why are you here?" I screamed.

"That wasn't my intention," he says.

"Well what was?" I asked.

"I just want you to be mine," he said.

"I have Jake. He's my husband and the love of my life. You need to get over me and find someone else," I looked down.

Hurt spreads onto his face. He frowned and threw Jake off of him and into a tree. Jake yelped loudly. I sped over to Aaron and slammed him against a tree.

"Don't you ever! Touch my husband again! Do you understand?!" My hand clenched his throat.

"Fine. But this isn't over," he said as he removed my hand from his neck. He sped away.

Jake laid on the ground whimpering.

I'm okay.

I smiled softly and stroked his fur. I sat with him until he phased back and we walked back into the house
