Picture Book YourNarrator x reader

(Y/n) walked in the room to give narrator his glass of water he had requested, but he was just staring off into space and she knew something was wrong. She walked around the bed and set the glass down on the night stand. "Thank you." He said with a groggy voice. (Y/n) knelt down beside the bed, "what's wrong?" He shrugs, "I'm so sorry (y/n)." (Y/n) tilts her head a bit, "why?" Narrator turns onto his back to sit up and drink some water. He puts his glass down and clears his throat. "I'm sorry I'm useless and get you to do everything." (Y/n) giggles and stands up, "what do you mean? You're sick. You just started antibiotics a few days ago so you'll be up in no time." Narrator grabs her hand, "but I get you to do everything." (Y/n) smiles, "I don't mind." Narrator lets go of her hand, "yes, but even when I'm not sick I do nothing and you deserve better." (Y/n) gives him a light smack, "stop talking like that." Narrator huffs, "I can't help but to talk like that. I can't record at the moment and I get you to do everything even though I don't deserve you. You deserve someone better. Someone who's not useless." (Y/n) leaves and narrator lays back down about to cry. (Y/n) returns with a picture book and sits on the bed beside him. Narrator gives her a confused look. She commands him to sit up and she slides closer, opening the book. She flips to the first page and points towards a Polaroid picture of them two in front of the place they had their first date. She sees him look at it, but not smile one bit. She nudges him, "you remember that. You were so nervous, but that was the most memorable nights I've had." "I remember." He said but still doesn't lighten up. She points to the second picture where they had a double date with Eddie and Gabby. All four of them took a Polaroid together in front of a bar and grill. (Y/n) peeks over at narrator who still had a blank expression. (Y/n) smiles, "remember that night? Me and Gabby had a few drinks while you and Eddie got drunk and started dancing around, making jokes, and having a good time. When we all got back to Eddie and Gabby's house me and Gabby made sure you guys didn't get into trouble and we all watched Ride Along." Narrator gains a tiny smile, "I do, but it goes to show you right there that I'm not good for you if I get drunk and all that." (Y/n) rolls her eyes, and laughs a little, "come on now, you know that was a fun night and very memorable just like our first date. Besides you don't drink a lot and when you do you're really fun not aggressive." She flips through some more pages to find another good one and stumbles upon the first rose narrator gave her. She smiles wide at him, "I kept that. It's been almost two years since you gave me that." A Polaroid of the bouquet was right beside one of the roses from the bouquet. It was dead, but she pointed to the Polaroid of bright, white roses. "Those were the first roses you ever got me. Of coarse they're all dead now, but the Polaroid of them is right here." (Y/n) says, looking at him. He starts to tear up. (Y/n) puts the book to the side and gives a sympathetic look, "what's wrong?" Narrator let's some tears fall, "what did I ever do to deserve you? You make me so happy." (Y/n) smiles and straddles his legs. She puts her hands on his cheeks as he looks up at her, "I could ask the same thing. Every memory we have together is great. You make everyday feel like a new beginning. Every date feels like our first all over again. Right now you're sick. Right now you feel depressed because you can't do anything, but the sooner you heal, the sooner you can get back to doing what you do best. Making everyday an adventure." Narrator puckers for a kiss and (y/n) closes the space. They pull away and (y/n) smiles, "now I have an idea. Let's get you in the shower and maybe you'll feel a bit better and afterwards we can put on a movie." Narrator smiles, "I would love that."
