Handsome Jack X Reader "Relic"

Setting: On Pandora

Plot: You lost everyone on Pandora and we'll you're doing pretty good on your own. Your sister doesn't really talk to you no more and wants you dead, but other than that you get even better when you're helped by a handsome leader of a whole company.

You stare off into the distance of the Pandorian setting around you, wondering where the usual bandits are, but none so far. The bandits keep trying for you, but you just fight them off. Pretty easy when you get used to it. They want this relic that you found while scavenging and say that it's worth a fortune... well that's what you thought they said in their final moments with their final breaths. You usually used guns, but knives were more your thing. The thought of assassinating and sneaking up on people then killing. Pretty easy you might add. You live on the outskirts of the Dahl headlands. Which was it's original name, but it changed to something else after Hyperion saved the moon from Cornell Zarpedon. You weren't really big on keeping up with the things and more busy shooting and keeping out bandits. Assassins as well. That's only when your long lost sister sends them your way and normally they don't last to long. That's mostly her way of saying she loves you. She doesn't, but you like to think that anyway. You hear a noise from behind you and snap around with your gun in hand. Just a normal Jakobs. Not bad, but your favorite at that. You see the handsome leader of Hyperion there and keep your gun up, but question a bit. He meets your eyes and pleads, "don't worry I'm not here to hurt you. I just followed some coordinates that lead me here. I'm Handsome Jack, but you can call me Jack. Okay pumpkin." You don't hesitate and keep it on here, "what brought you here? What are you here for? I don't mind killing the 'Handsome Jack.'" He keeps his arms up, "don't worry pumpkin I'm just here for a relic. No need for death. I have bad guys outside that do want to kill me. Think you can help me?" You shrug, "what's in it for me?" Jack smirks, "put the gun down and I'll tell you." You put the gun down, still keeping it at the ready though. He lets his arms down, "you can come back with me to Hyperion and work for me. A roof over your head and food in the table. No scavenging or danger. All promised." You scoff with a tiny bit of a laugh, "like I'd work for you." You think to yourself, 'promised roof and food does sound good though.' He sighs, "I thought you might like to just be promised food and shelter for an exchange to work for the best company ever. You think for a moment then huff, "show me the enemies." He smiles, "great. Let's go." He leads you outside and into a hoard of bandits. You take out your gun and start to shoot for them. You look over and the last few are teaming up on Jack. You rush over and pull one off and throw him to the ground and stomp his head until he eventually dies. The other one aims his gun at you and you quickly stab him. Jack takes the last one and smiles at you, "I'm gonna feel bad for doing this but..." You give him a confused look and he knocks you out. When you awaken you're back in your house and no weapons on you. You see Jack loading your weapons in his bag. He sees you awake and gives a sad look, "I'm sorry, but I had to do that. You can still work for me though." You look down and see that he's tied your hands together and mumble under your breath, "asshole." He walks over to you, "you are beautiful pumpkin, who'd you get it from? Mom...dad...grandma?" You roll your eyes and continue to pull at the rope. He chuckles, "sorry pumpkin, but that is a really tight knot. I just need to know one thing. Where's that relic? I know you have it." You raise an eyebrow, "you're talking about the one I found a while ago. Yeah I'm not saying. Those bandits try to take it all the time and say it's worth a fortune. No way I'm letting someone or anyone take it. Not even you." Jack smirks, "ooo tough one. I like it, but it ain't gonna get you anywhere pumpkin. You see, I need that relic is special. I need it to awaken an ancient beast called, the warrior. This monster will help me take over Pandora and turn this bandit infested planet into a beautiful, futuristic, society. Don't you want that?" You think for a while and stay silent. Jack gives up and starts searching around your place. He finds a photo of your family. He looks at you, with the photo in his hands, "looks like you did get it from your mother. She is gorgeous. Y'know I have a daughter of my own. She's dangerous though. I had a wife as well. They were the lights of my life." You continue to stay quiet and he hands the photo over to you, "I figure you might want to keep this when you come with me." You look up at him and think to yourself, 'he's not that bad. Even though he has you tied up right now. At least he has a heart.' You decide to finally speak up, "where's your wife now?" He sighed, "I like to think she's still alive, but a bad thing happened out of mine and my daughter's control. She umm... she's gone." You feel a bit bad now about the whole he's a bad guy thing, but speak again, "I'm-I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my mom and dad to bandits and my sister wants me dead. She often sends assassins on me and I like to think that's her way of saying I love you." Jack gives a huffed laugh, "it's amazing what we lead ourselves to believe." You smirk, "glad I'm not the only one who's been screwed over." Jack walks back over to her, "I'm getting even more screwed over if I don't have this relic." You smile, "if I tell you. Will you let me go?" Jack pushes his hair back, "sorry pumpkin. No can do."

Note: I've gotten near the end of the pre sequel and I already know what happens in all of them and to me I don't think Jack is really a bad guy. Granted he does have his daughter locked up, but he has to keep her from hurting anyone and also in the pre sequel when he killed those scientists he had a logical reason and was right for doing that. One of them could've been a traitor and to make sure they weren't be shot them out of an airlock. If anything I wouldn't have killed him in the second one and just wanted to get back at Lilith and them and tbh I like Lilith 😂.
