As Sarah raced off, she felt as if a whole boulder was lifted off her shoulders if she hurried she would make it to Boston by the morning, she planned on visiting Phillis Wheatly.
In the morning:
Everyone woke up groggily, as they made there way downstairs to get breakfast, all except Sarah, "Oh my, James, Henri will you go wake up Sarah, she needs to eat breakfast, she didn't eat anything but an apple."Moses said. They raced each other to get upstairs first. When Henri knocked and no one answered, he tried the doorknob but it was locked. " Sarah, breakfast is ready!". James rolled his eyes and went to his room, to get an object and soon picked the lock. They both walked in and, saw a lump in the bed, James pulled the cover only to find pillows stuffed under it. "Sarah's Gone!!!!!!" They screamed in unison, as Dr.Franklin and Moses raced up, they saw, and soon everyone was on a wild chase to find Sarah anywhere in the house.
"James! This is all your FAULT!!!" Henri yelled,"Me? How?", "You were so mean to her."
James realized this was true, and felt sorry.
Later on:
Sarah had finally arrived, the city was bustling, as she ate her sandwich she made it Phillis's house, she knocked and was greeted by Phillis Wheatly, " Sarah, what a pleasant surprise, what do I owe the honor to." "Hello, Phillis, just needed a break from the boys."
Phillis nodded in agreement, and let her in, the rest of the day they sat down and Sarah helped her with her poetry, and she showed her one of her gadgets, and they both laughed and had some tea.
Later:
At dinner everyone felt empty without Sarah, even James. They all went to bed sad, all but James who prayed that Sarah was okay.
1 month later:
"James, I need you to go interview Phillis Wheatley about her latest poem", Moses said with little excitement in his voice.
"Okay", James said mutually.
When James made it there he knocked, as Phillis opened the door, she quickly shut it, and told Sarah the situation, Sarah duckd under the table. As Phillis slowly opened the door, " Sorry about that." She said as she invited him in.
As he was halfway through the interview he smelled something that reminded him of Sarah, the smell of cinnamon and apples. He slowly followed the sent until, he reached under the table.
And pulled it only to find Sarah. "SARAH?!!" He yelled as she sighed and got from under the table, "Hello, Mr.Hiller." She said blankly, that honestly hurt James a little. " What are you doing here?!" "We were worried sick!". Sarah just looked at him and turned away , "I needed a vacation."
"I'll give you two some privacy." Phillis said and rushed out the room.
"Sarah we missed you, even me." "James, I really don't want to go back I like it here, it is much more comforting than living with YOU!".
" Please Sarah, we need you things have gone downhill, everyone is so depressed, even Henri doesn't eat much." James stated, Sarah thought about this then then obliged," Fine I will come back, tonight, another accident and the vacation will be ENGLAND! Understand?". James nodded.
That night she gathered her things and hugged and thanked Phillis for her stay, as she rode back with James she didn't talk much than the usual stay awake. When they reached the print shop. She busted in looking around to see a sad setting, she went to the living room, when Henri, Dr.Franklin, and Moses all saw her, they rushed to her and hugged her, after their moment they had questions,"Oh, enough questions I am exhausted", Sarah breathed.
As they agreed they went to prepare dinner, Sarah went to her room, and laid on her bed, as she heard a knock, she opened it to find James holding a few letters, Sarah remembered that she never wrote to hr mother, she must be worried sick, and she realized the letter from that day. She took them and closed the door in James's face, she heard his knock again sighing she opened it and looked at him,"Sarah, look I didn't mean to offed you, I was playing tricks I didn't know it affected you that much." James said on the bridge of tears.
Sarah took pity and let him in where he cried on her shoulder as he hugged her like his life depended on it.
"James I just wish that you, would be a bit more merciful with your tricks." Sarah stated monotone.
They soon went to dinner and ate in silence besides the fact that Moses and Dr.Franklin were laughing at how Henri ate at quite a pace.
When they finished, Sarah went to her room as James knocked she opened the door, "Hey, I am sleeping with you tonight to make sure you don't run away, again." James said.
"Fine." Sarah sighed annoyed.
In the middle of the night:
Sarah put on her shoes as she walked out the house, and to Dr.Franklin's workshop, James followed close behind, Sarah stopped,"May I help you James". James froze, sighed and walked up to her. She soon went on to the workshop as she built a small gadget to open containers with.
As she went back to the house James followed her, she looked at the stars ,a dn couldn't hold back the exhaustion as she collapsed, she heard James, yell,"SARAH!" Before everything went black.
