James rushed over to Sarah, as she lay motionless on the ground, he shook her then realized she was sweating, he felt her forehead and realized that she had a fever, he quickly hoisted her up, she was lighter than he thought, as he carried her inside, "Moses!" He yelled, as Moses came down tired as he looked at Sarah his eyes immediately opened, as he rushed to get Dr. Franklin, as James layed Sarah down on her bed Henri came out, as he saw Sarah he asked, "What did you do this time James?" He asked still sleepy, "This wasn't my fault", James responded, as he covered Sarah with the covers, Dr. Franklin came in to examine Sarah, "We need some water, quickly now." He said. As Moses and Henri went to get water, James looked out the window only to find a lever, he opened the window and pulled it.

The lever started moving and hauling up water in buckets James amazed told Dr.Franklin that just as Moses and Henri came back, they used the system, as they kept wetting towels, and rinsing her face off, as Dr.Franklin tucked Sarah in the boys exhausted, went to bed.

But James stayed to look over Sarah. As he slowly drifted asleep on her chair.

4 hours later:

James woke up to the sound of mumbling coming from Sarah, he sat up, as he cautiously walked up to Sarah's bed. As he heard her mumble," James, no, please not another letter......".James had to admit he did feel bad.

"Shhhhhh, Sarah it's okay I am not going to take your letter," he whispered in her ear a few times as he lightly hugged her careful not to get sick, a few seconds later Sarah calmed down, as James went back to his post to rest.

In the morning:

As James watched as Sarah kept dodging Moses attempts to get food in her mouth she sighed, as Henri was trying to encourage Sarah to eat, finally after 30 minutes they left her alone for a bit, as James walked up to her she turned her back to sleep he turned her around she started to protest, but as James put a finger to her lips she only stared at him, "Please Sarah, if you eat then I promise to be a gentleman and never steal your letters for a whole week." James said as Sarah thought about it, "2 weeks!" She said hoping he kept his word, "Fine." James groaned.

As James grabbed the plate, he took a spoon of oatmeal as Sarah opened her mouth.

A few minutes later Moses and Henri came back only to find Sarah taking her last bite of oatmeal, "So." Moses said, "How did you do it." James explained as Henri burst out laughing, "Good luck, James." He said as he dashed downstairs.

As Sarah tried to get out of bed James quickly yet gently pushed her back down, "Oh no you don't I am going to be your personal assistant today, so you might as well get used to me." James stated matter of factly. Sarah groaned as James lifted her up, and took her back to her desk, as he knew she intended to write a letter to her mother.

He then gave her a bit of privacy and went to change her bed, when she was done she requested to be taken to the post office to make sure the letter got to her mother.

As James hoisted her up on the horse he rode off letting the horse gallop slowly, Sarah had never been in this position before, so she gripped on tight to James, as he only smiled.

When the mail was delivered they were heading back to their house when Sarah asked a surprising question, " James, why are you all of a sudden so nice?".
