James drew a breath," Well I don't know I guess I realized how I could fall into crumbles without you." He said as he blushed a bit, Sarah only nodded and snuggled closer to James on the horse as his blush intensified, they made it back as James helped Sarah off the horse. When they came in Sarah still felt a bit unwell, she decided not to spread her sickness to her friends so she went to her room with the help of James as she made her to her desk sketching out a new invention.
As James watched her he slowly started to blush realizing he fell for the girl of his dreams.
When dinner was ready, James snapped out of his thoughts as he looked at Sarah. She held her arms up as he lifted her to her bed where she sat as he fed her. As hr soft lips brushed his finger once he had to hold back a moan.
As he set some water in the tub he gave her some privacy. When she was done she had her nightgown on he helped walk to bed. She felt a lot better now that she was clean. Her fever must be fading away, as James sat down on the chair, Sarah patted the spot next to her.
He sat down as he finished closing the door, she pulled a clean blanket over him, as he sat on the bed. She started reading the book to him as he leaned his head on her shoulder, she started running her hands through his hair, as he snuggled closer and hugged her waist adoring the scent of cinnamon.
He slowly fell asleep, as she kept petting his head blowing out the candles and slowly drifting off to sleep, wondering how her point of view changed of James.
As James slowly opened his eyes he saw a beautiful redhead who looked beautiful in her sleep, he did something he never thought he'd do he kissed her forehead, his lips felt tingly, and he then became fully in love with Sarah. As e realized this as he went back to sleep.
In the morning James woke up first, as he gently shook Sarah awake, Sarah waking up slowly looked up at James before hugging him, "Thank you for helping me out James, I feel much better now."
As they went downstairs Dr.Franklin already left for a congress meeting in Boston he wouldn't be back until evening, as they ate breakfast Moses explained that him and Henri would be leaving to get a restock of paper, ink, and some new parts for the press, and hopefully a story. He also said that James would have to look after Sarah.
As Moses and Henri left on the wagon, Sarah looked at James as she said," Would you like to play a game?" "Sure". Sarah smiled," Then let us play hide and seek." " Okay, but in order for me to play, you have to do what I want for a whole day." "Hmm then we will do it until the others come back" "Deal", then they shook hands.
"I'll count first", James volunteered, as Sarah went off to hide. "20" James stated after coming, "Here I come!"
He followed the scent of cinnamon, and the silent giggles every time he opened the wrong door, until he reached her.
"I request to go riding." James thought about this then decided that they both needed a breath of air.
As they stopped at the docks no one was there probably all at home relaxing, as a crashing wave came by Sarah's horse panicked, and jumped as Sarah fell into the dock, James wasted no time and dove right after her for he knew she could not swim, as he reached his arm for hers, he took it and pulled them both up, Sarah came out gasping and laughing, as James got them to shore he was both scared and worried for her, " Why are you laughing, you were almost killed!!" "Because I'm very thankful I had you by my side, James." She said hoisting herself up, as she walked over to him,and kissed his cheek her lips felt tingly and at this moment she knew that she had fallen for James.
