Leo was holding her dummy steady as she sent a flurry of kicks and punches, her focus unwavering. The dummy swayed with each strike, absorbing the impact of her precise movements. "It's not funny, I ruined my shoes." Leo grumbled, bitterly shaking his head.
Gia smirked, sending another punch at the dummy, her movements mirroring Leo's with practiced ease. "You'll get over it," she comments, "that's why I had no part in that." She mumbles, shaking her head.
He tilts his head, "because of your shoes?"
Gia paused mid-combination, her fist hovering an inch from the dummy before she dropped her hands. "For the record," she said, breathing a little heavier now, "these were expensive."
Leo stared at her.
Gia caught the look and rolled her shoulders, stepping back into her stance before throwing another quick jab at the dummy.
"For the record," she added, almost as an afterthought, "I'm not really interested in fights outside the arena." Leo raised an eyebrow. Gia punctuated the statement with a sharp kick that sent the dummy swaying back toward him. "That's how I keep my trophy shelf full," she said casually, resetting her stance.
Another punch. "And my shoes clean." Leo snorted, steadying the dummy again as it rocked back toward him.
Leo's grip on the dummy suddenly shifted. "Uh..." he muttered.
Gia didn't look up, driving another sharp punch into the pad. "What?" she said, breath steady.
"You've got a fan," Leo whispered. Gia ignored him.
Her foot snapped out in a quick kick, the dummy jolting backward. She reset her stance immediately, already moving into the next combination. But the rhythm broke when the dummy shifted again.
She scowled. "Leo."
His grip had loosened slightly, his attention somewhere else entirely. Gia followed the direction of his eyes without meaning to. Across the dojo, was Robby.
Leaning against the far wall, watching.
Irritation crept in before she could stop it, quiet but persistent, gnawing at the edges of her focus.
She turned back to Leo with a narrowed look. "You want to make heart eyes at Robby all day," she snapped, her tone sharper than she intended, "or are you going to help me?"
Leo blinked, startled.
Gia didn't wait for an answer. She pivoted back toward the dummy and launched into another combination, faster this time. Each strike landed clean and deliberate, the thud of impact echoing through the room.
If Robby wanted to watch, fine.
She'd give him something worth watching.
"Listen up," Silver calls, Kreese follows quickly behind him. "Gather round." He demands, the room falls silent as the students gather around, their focus shifting from their training to their instructor.
"We just had a little pow-wow with the Sensei's at Miyagi-Do. From here on out, there'll be no more fighting until the tournament."
Tory scoffs, "so, our enemies get to humiliate us, and we just have to back down and take it?"
Kreese takes a step forward, eyes locked on Tory. "Of course not. We should always show our enemies no mercy."
Silver shakes his head, "but there's a time for fighting." He cuts Kreese off, "no need to waste a punch if its not going to score a point." Gia hums, nudging Leo, sending him a knowing look. "So, if your enemies do something to mess with you, or laugh in your face, good! Take all that anger and store it! Because you're going to need it when the time comes, is that understood?"
