Hey, hey! Sorry for the lateness on the upload this week; stuff has been crazy, but it should be up soon. In the meantime, I thought I'd give some information about the program that Keigo, Y/N, and Touya were in as kids:
This is, obviously, a made-up program. It's not a real thing in the anime/manga, but I really liked the idea of it. It was called the "Top Ten" program and was initially only going to have 10 participants. (Keigo and Y/N were welcomed in shortly after it began.) The purpose of the program was to indoctrinate its students with the idea that the Commission should be trusted no matter what and that fighting to protect hero society and its ideals was a top priority. In teaching this, the Commission was essentially ensuring the group's loyalty to them. The program was relatively expensive, as it provided intensive training for students and an almost guaranteed spot as a hero in the top ten rankings in the future. The group was supposed to form tight bonds with one another, but Keigo, Y/N, and Touya didn't get along with many of the other kids and so, didn't make any close friends apart from one another. Each child had an overseer who oversaw their progress and training.
The kids stayed in the dorms the Commission provided on the weekdays, and went home on the weekends (with the exception of Y/N who stayed at the Commission fulltime and was typically taught extra lessens or taken out for a fun day by a random Commission worker while Mrs. Yamamoto visited her family.) They also went home on certain holidays.
The kids were all sat at one big table at meal times and were generally expected to talk and make friends. Of course, over time, the overseers took notice of the close friendship Keigo, Y/N, and Touya had formed.
Okay! Hope that clears some stuff up. Most of it comes in via context clues in the story, but I thought it might help. Back to the story now c:
