Since I didn't have the time to make something for Japan's birthday, I decided to continue this story.
~America's POV~
July 16, 1988
Japan smiled."You'll see Alfred; I believe you will find, quite bizarre."I smiled, "Well then, what is ya gonna show me?"I questioned, curious about what he had to show me.
"If I told you it would ruin the surprise, now hurry, or else we will be late!" he exclaimed as he let me to his car.
A Toyota corolla, Ae 86 with a black hood and underbody. The rest was white, a beautiful car by far, although it was difficult to see Japan driving it. (AN: For plot reasons, Japan is not going to be driving a Honda, sorry.) I placed my case in the trunk which, despite its small model, provided much space. I circled the car admiring the car it was a beautiful model-.My thought was cut short by Japan calling out to me, "Alfred stop admiring the car and get in, or we'll be late."
"Late for what I thought you said the meeting wasn't in four hours?"
"Did you forget America? You and I have another meeting with representatives at noon. Said Japan as he sat in the right seat.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot man. Don't I go, oh wait, nevermind, I forgot you guys drive on the left side of the road."
I got into the left passenger seat and looked out the window. Japan had changed a lot since the last time I was here during not so heroic times. Either way, Japan had advanced in more than one way. Technology was thriving, making Japan one of the most advanced countries in the world. Especially with western influence, Japan was changing at an impressive rate. Much different than the first time I was here, sometimes I wondered what would have happened if I never traveled to Japan way back in 1853. There wouldn't be much of a difference, I believe other countries would have taken my place.I shook my head, now wasn't the time for those kinds of thoughts, I looked to Japan, who was focused on the road ahead of him. I turned on the radio, a random song played.
To you
Yes, my love to you
Yes, my love to you, you
To you
The rest I didn't understand since it was in Japanese, the exception to one or two words. Man, I should learn Japanese It's difficult to find Manga in English. I wonder what Japan had to show me the curiosity was killing me from the inside. I wonder if I pester Japan enough he'll te me. Nah, I'm way too tired to try and break him right now. I placed my head on the window and closed my eyes.
I thought of simple things, how Japan and I have gotten closer over the years. I could easily say we were no longer enemies around the 1960s. Although we never had a chance to truly become friends, or hang out around the late 1970s. The few times we've hung out we're mostly business-related. Were we would discuss topics with representatives from each country about trade and whatnot.
Either way, I feel that I could call him a friend, a true friend at that. We had a few common interests, such as our love for sci-fi movies. Or sci-fi in general. Man, we both loved Star Wars. Apart from that, we were polar opposite according to most countries, yet how could we get along so well.
I leaned back in the chair, "Hey, Japan."
"Mh." he hummed in response.
"I'm, like, totally starving man, when are we gonna eat?" I questioned.
"Do you think of nothing but food, comics, movies, and more ways to deep fry objects?" he remarked.
"First of all, rude, second I also think about cars, guns, and how to be the best hero in the world.", I said, pointing at Japan and then did my signature American smile as I declared how I was the best Hero.
