(Hailey's POV) I was at my locker putting my books back when Ben came up and leaned on the locker in front of mine. "Hi, Hailey" he said and I smiled "Hi" I replied "I have a little surprise for you" he said "Again? Wow. That's like every day now" I said laughing "Every other day. the even dates. Cause you're 'Even' more perfect then I thought" he said smiling "That is me I am perfect" I said but my mind said otherwise. "Come on, let me spoil you. You didn't have much growing up" Ben said with sympathy in his voice. "We managed" I said with a smirk. He looked into my open locker and saw my spell book. "Hey, didn't you donate that to the museum?" Ben said before I closed my locker. "Is that still in there? Um I got to get to class I really don't wanna be late" I said about to leave but Ben stopped me "No. Come this way. First off....ta-da!" He said showing me a blue motor scooter. "What?" I asked shocked "You like it?" "Ben...does an ogre like cheese puffs? This is amazing! It's blue!" I sat on the seat "I didn't get you anything" I said "You're taking me on a picnic with all my favorite foods, remember?" He said "No that's Thursday" I said "It is Thursday" "No it's not" "Yes it is" "No it's not" "Yes it is" he said pulling is phone out showing me the date. It was Thursday... "I knew that" I said trying to cover it up "I mean if you don't have it that's fine" he said "No no no. I was fully messing with you. I knew it was Thursday. I just have one more thing to go bake, then I'm all yours" I said smiling before I started leaving "Well what about class?" He stopped me "She multi tasks" I said before walking away again "She dabbles" He said "She dabbles" I repeated "You're the best" he said "That's me!" I said even though I knew I was lying.
