I checked in, get through the security and wait til I can get on my flight home. I was calling Bobby to tell him that I'm gonna be home in like 24 to 30 hours. After the call I could get onto the plane and luckily I got the seat at the window. After we started I listened to music and looked at a picture of Eddie, Chris and me. A older lady next to me asks 'your family?' 'Yeah my husband, stepson and me.' 'And you're in the army?' 'It was my last tour. I'm a reservist now, so I can be more with my family.' 'And what is your husband doing?' 'He was in the army too. We met there. And now he's a firefighter.' 'You have an adorable little family.' 'Thank you. I don't wanna be unpolite, but I have a 12 months deployment behind me and I just wanna listen to the playlist my stepson creates for me.' 'Sure.' "Thanks.' After this little talk I listened to music again. And this Playlist reminds me so of Chris, yeah, he made it and these are all the song we used to listen to. I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I remember is, that the older lady is waken me up, because we are landed. Now I need to switch planes and after the next flight I'll be home.

Today is Eddie's big day. I'm so nervous, because I haven't seen him and Chris in awhile. Bobby told me to get ready, because we are leaving in a few minutes.

I drove with Bobby to the station. I get in there through the back door so nobody sees me. Then Bobby was welcoming everyone and then he says something to Eddie. Chris brought him his helmet. Then he said 'I have a special gift for you.' That was my sign. I talked to through the microphone. 'Hey Eddie honey. I can see you on my inner eye, smiling and I've never been more proud of you. You know that and it hurts me' I left the microphone and walked up behind the firetrucks, so everyone can see me. Then I ended my sentence 'that I have to tell you and Chris that I can't make it home from Afghanistan to be here with you today. But I made it.' I was smiling at him and he stood there and he was speechless. The reaction I thought it would get. Chris realised it a little faster than his father and walked to me. I walked to him too. 'Mom, your finally home' he yelled, which caused all people to look strange at us. 'Hey buddy, I'm finally home and I'm not gonna leave you again.' I was kneeling down so we can hug each other tight. At this moment I couldn't hold back my tears. I looked over to Eddie and saw him standing there looking at me and Chris with tears running down his cheek. 'Hey buddy, can you go to bobby please?' 'Yeah' 'thank you.' I stand back up and walking towards Eddie. When he saw me coming closer, he snapped out of his stiffness and ran towards me. He hugged and spinned me. After that he put me back on my feet, still hugging me. He whispers in my ear 'you were lying to me' 'yeah I did, but honey, I am here and I'm not going anywhere.' Then after 12 month I can finally kiss him again.
After our little reunion I go to Bobby and hugged him. 'Thanks again for helping me with that' 'Anytime' he said. I took Chris into my arms and walked with him to Eddie. Then we did our ritual, even when everybody looked at us. We both wore necklaces with the wedding ring from each other. We took the rings and put them back on the finger of the other one. A kiss on the ring and then we finally kissed again. I whispered to Eddie 'I think, you should talk to them' 'yeah I guess I have to' he whispered. Now he speaks loud and clear. 'Alright everybody listen up. This is my wife Sergeant First Class Skylar Diaz.' 'Sky?' I searched for the voice, which sound very familiar to me. 'Buck? Maddie?' I said crying. 'What are you doing here?' I ran towards them and hugged them as tight as I could. 'I am working here and Maddie moved to LA.' Buck said. Eddie walked up behind me. 'Mi amore, do you mind to explain me what's going on?' 'oh, yeah. Buck and Maddie are....
