INT. PARKER HOUSEHOLD - DAY

Nycolas, Isaiah, Cyerra, Tyrone, and Nia are getting ready for the funeral of Jonathan Velasquez.

CYERRA

Do we really have to go?

TYRONE

Yeah I mean we didn't even know this Jonathan guy.

NIA

Yeah just seems like a waste of time.

NYCOLAS

A day back and you are already complaining, Jonathan had a hand in saving you guys, he deserves respect that's why you are coming with us to his funeral, also we are your only guardians in the state right now so bare with us.

CYERRA

Fine.

TYRONE

But can we at least stop for food first.

ISAIAH

After.

NIA

Oh my fucking god.

NYCOLAS

Can you three go wait in the car, I gotta talk to Isaiah in private before we go.

CYERRA

Whatever.

Cyerra, Nia, and Tyrone exit the house.

ISAIAH

What's up?

NYCOLAS

I wanted to apologize.

ISAIAH

For what?

NYCOLAS

Over reacting to the letter.

ISAIAH

Nah dude, I think you were completely justified, I lied to you, about your dad, that's big shit and I should have told you from the beginning, I feel like I should be the one apologizing.

NYCOLAS

It's so funny, we started this year arguing about trust yet here we are arguing about who should be apologizing.

ISAIAH

That too, Nyck I should have talked to you over the summer, I was a fucking moron about it.

NYCOLAS

It's fine, admittedly I was probably a little bit too hard on you.

ISAIAH

So, we cool now?

NYCOLAS

Of course dude.

ISAIAH

Let's make a vow.

NYCOLAS

What? Like a suicide pack? Suicide bros? Remember 8th grade? Up top.

ISAIAH

What? No? I don't even know how you came to that conclusion, a Vow is a promise.

NYCOLAS 

So what would we be promising?

ISAIAH

To remain friends, no matter what our future has in store for us, no matter what changes are thrown our way, the one thing that should remain constant, is our friendship.
