A/n: So thank you all again for over one hundred reads! Just as an fyi, I plan on deleting my original comment that lead to me writing this soon because 1. I don't want people from my school finding this 2. I'm applying for a job soon, and plan to possibly work for the government eventually (and they find EVERYTHING) so I def don't want this to be traced back to me. The story will continue though! Even when the comment is deleted inspiration credits will still be there ;)

Brylie had been over for the past hour or so before Chris showed up. Thankfully for you, she had confided that, after you explained everything that made you fall for him, she would do the same thing if she was brave enough, and most importantly, first. You honestly felt a little relieved when she told you, and not as embarrassed. Because, as much as you hated to say it, it felt like your crush was embarrassing

Well, it's still kind of isn't it? Because, like a normal person I could just have a crush, but my goal is to literally date him

Although you didn't see him come, you could hear him, your room was directly above the living room and Chris's voice could be a tad loud sometimes, but not in a bad way. Everything about him was just so warm and comforting to you. Through the muffled voices you could make out uninteresting small talk.

"So, interesting match-up right?"

"Did you play in highschool?"

But, as you and Brylie eavesdropped and sat on Instagram, something caught your attention

"You know, I have to say, as much as it's gonna sound like I'm just trying to win you over so I can meet Tom Brady, this really is the truth when I say this Mr. y/l/n,"

"Please, call me y/d/n" Your dad interrupted

"Y/n seems like a really good student, the biography y/n gave me seemed very accomplished and I could really get a general sense that y/n is just, astoundingly smart. Just, so impressive really, it blows me away that y/n's not taking AP US History."

He did not just say that about me

"He did not just say that about you" Brylie looked up from her phone and spoke in a serious tone.

"Shhh let's hear my dad's response."

"Well, thank you on my behalf and y/ns" Your dad laughed lightly "I'm certainly really proud of y/n and everything y/n's done, as for why y/n's not taking AP U.S History, it's honestly just best for y/n's mental health, trust me, y/n really, really wanted to take it, but the teacher's known to be pretty strict and not very understanding of kids mental health. Not to mention AP's themselves are so challenging. However, I think we are really grateful that y/n got a teacher that'll still give y/n a really good U.S History experience."

"I'm glad, yeah, I, I totally get the mental health aspect of it. OH MY HE DID NOT JUST FUMBLE THAT!" They both let out frustrated yells before Chris continued where he left off

"Oh my God I think your dad and Chris just melted my heart" Brylie said
