Pre-read note: Not gonna lie this probably isn't my favorite chapter looking back, but I hope you guys enjoy it nevertheless!
Sunday football with Chris had become you dad's new favorite tradition, every Sunday,
Every Goddamn Sunday
Chris would come over for football and occasionally stay for dinner. Your parents had grown quite fond of him. Chris had begun to bring Dodger too, which you were happy about. Despite not updating your friends, you still had feelings for Chris. Today's Sunday was different though, because your dad had invited Tom and Mr. Kraft. What you were most excited about was that Chris was completely unaware of this. The patriots didn't have a game scheduled this week, hence their visit. Tom and Mr. Kraft were already here and already made aware that Chris was a pretty big fan of them both. Your sisters had stopped by for the weekend as well, although they would be back shortly for Thanksgiving break.
"So, Jana, Iris, why Penn State? I'm surprised that you guys decided to go to the same college." Mr. Kraft asked
"Well, we knew we wanted to be kinda close to each other, but Penn State is also a really big school, so when we both got in with athletic scholarships to a school we both liked, it just kinda made sense." Iris explained while you sat uncomfortably in your seat. Chris hadn't met up with your parents after the incident in his classroom, and you honestly hoped he wouldn't say anything about it.
"Are the football games better than the ones at Gillette?" Tom asked partially seriously, partially jokingly
"No, I don't think we could compare any game or stadium to Gillette" Jana said, slightly laughing.
"I'm glad to hear that" Your dad walked in from the kitchen with a beer in his hand as you noticed Chris and Dodger walking up to the front door.
"Chris is here guys!" You raised your voice, not to the point where you were yelling loud enough for Chris to hear outside, but loud enough for people to hear over their sub-conversations.
Your dad go a beer for Chris as he went to go get the door
"Hi, Chris, I'm so glad you could make it!" Your dad exclaimed in a genuine tone
"Hi, y/d/n, thanks for having me again, but really we should do this at my house sometime."
"Well, I'm sure you'll be glad that we had our get-together at my house this time, we have a few extra guests that I think you'll get along with."
"Oh, I'm sure we'll get alo-" He stopped short as Tom and Mr. Kraft came to the door to introduce themselves.
"Holy Shit" Chris breathed heavily for a second, as if he had been holding his breath
"Hi, it's nice to meet you" Mr. Kraft stuck out his hand for Chris to shake, which he did
"Good to meet you too" Tom did the same, "It's good to hear about someone still enthusiastic about the team"
"Well, I'm not as on my toes this season, I have no doubts about you guys going to the bowl, anyways, it's nice to meet you."
"Thank you, Mr. Evans" Mr. Kraft
"Let's get seated shall we? We honestly made too much food, but can you? Tom this training has got to have you starving. We've got burgers, fries, fruit salad.... All the classics really" Your mom said, guiding them to the family room.
You sat with your sisters at the dining table while the guys watched the game. Your mom had left, going to her friends house across the street. Your conversation was out of earshot from the family room, so immediately, in fact, interrupting your own questions, your sisters had asked about Chris.
"So, how's the seduction mission going?" Iris asked
"That's not- I'm not"
"Hey- If you're not gonna do anything, it's legal for either of us" Jana said
"Now, we won't break girl code, but if if you don't have something going on with him by your birthday, he's free real estate" Iris added on
"I guess that's fair, but he's not some type of game guys"
"Yeah, he's different guys" Iris mocked you
"Ohh some boy talk going on here?" Chris walked in and everyone's faces turned red "Don't worry, I'm not gonna press, I'm just here to get the veggie tray, does any of you girls want something out of the fridge?"
"I'll take a Dr. Pepper if you don't mind" Jana added her request
"No problem" Chris smiled softly
He got everything from the fridge and dropped off Jana's drink on the table
"Surprised you didn't ask for a white claw" You smirked
"We're driving home tonight? Plus that's totally illegal" Jana replied
"I, personally would've asked for one, as I'm not as boring as Jana, but I really don't want a DUI" Iris added
"So, I think after that interaction I definitely call first shot before Iris" Jana said, she then lowered her tone "I'd let him hit it for free any day of the week"
"Oh, for sure, if he hit me with his car," Iris's tone was also low after the previous incident "I'd be the one apologizing, if anything, I'd actually thank him"
"y/n, don't pretend you haven't thought the same things" Jana said after you had sat silent for too long.
"Oh, you know all I can think about is what his birthday present to me would be. But if anything, I think he sees me as a student or a niece before fuck-buddy or girlfriend. Part of me still sees him as a teacher, maybe even an uncle figure too, which is rough."
A/n: Thank ya'll SO MUCH for over two hundred reads! Like what?? Anyways once again just ignore how bad this chapter is I don't know what I was thinking with it??
