SAM:

"I couldn't believe it, it was so unlike him... I mean I'm happy he's getting into reading!" I gush to Rey and Yara.

They both look at each other before they look back at me and let out a splutter of giggles. Yara's head droops as the laughter takes over until I hit her over the head with one of her lilac plushies. I put on a face of annoyance and hurt as Rey tries to contain herself, taking small breaths.

Yara sits up suddenly and snatches the purple dinosaur toy from my hands, nestling it into her chest and caressing its head.

"Hey, don't do that to Marion- she doesn't deserve it!", she scolds, displaying a sulky pout.

Even though I knew she was just joking, a light pink blush filled my cheeks replicating a damask rose.

"How many of these are you going to collect?" Rey, now composed, asks as she examines another one from the pile sitting at the foot of Yara's bed.

"Well, I usually win one every time Luc and I go to the funfair..." she trails on entering a daydream.

"Awww... you guys are honestly so cute! All your funfair dates and him teaching you Italian", I gush following her gaze to her wall of polaroids.

"If only you and Will could just admit you love each other, he's so clueless I swear" Rey grumbles as she mindlessly rakes her fingers through her hair.

"Well... if I'm being honest", Yara begins hesitantly.

"Is everything okay?" I ask, furrowing my brows.

"I swear if that boy did something-" Rey begins to spew out threats.

"Oh my God, Luc didn't do anything! He just told me that his parents are thinking of relocating again"

"Oh no, Yara",  I reach over and hold her hand.

"I'm so sorry", Rey wrapped her arm around Yara, both their faces crestfallen.

"Yeah, he's not sure yet but they're considering it and I guess... I didn't tell you guys cause it wasn't real and I didn't want to worry about it until it was happening but I can't stop thinking of what would happen if he did move away. My parents are finally accepting our relationship and I don't want them to think of him as abandoning me..." her voice quavers.

"And I'm not thinking that he's abandoning me, but what if he decides to break up with me?", she continues as her face wrinkles with tears.

"Yara, he isn't going to break up with you he's committed the last three and something years to you, he loves you- I've seen it" Rey assures her before she can descend further into doubt.

"Honestly, I don't think you have anything to worry about" I smile squeezing her hand.

"I-" she goes on to say.

"And if there's something to worry about and they decide to move, we'll worry about it then and you guys will come up with a solution, I promise it'll be okay" I add with a grin.

After Yara wipes her tears and takes a few breaths, Rey then goes on to playfully punch her in the shoulder.

"Hey! What was that for?!", she asks with incredulity rubbing her arm.

"That was for not telling us that you were overthinking and upset! You shouldn't hide things from us, better out than in" she jokingly reprimands her.

I also join in by nudging her shoulder with mine.

"She's right, real or not you shouldn't suffer from all those thoughts alone", I chime in.

"Okay okay I got it, no more hiding things, I love you guys", she cheers swaddling both of us in her arms.
