GEORGIANA

( AWKWARD DISPOSITION )

Daniele's eyes were still on Vladimir. "Well, are you?", he asked innocently. Vladimir looked like he was having an aneurysm. Dmitry and Viktoria's eyes were switching from me to their son with an amused expression. My mother was no help, she sat there smiling and my dad was staring at Vladimir with narrowed eyes. I decided to try changing the topic.

"Uh---", I started to say, just then Boris entered the room and placed the meal on the table. He uncovered the one from my mom. It looked like tomato soup or something, it had red bell peppers, meat and other stuff ( I didn't know what they were ). It looked delicious.

"It's Hungarian goulash, I hope you will all like it", said my mom.

"It smells scrumptious!", exclaimed Viktoria. Boris finished preparing the meal and sat down beside Vladimir. Everybody dug in. I took a sip from my mom's stew and nearly choked. My mouth felt like it was on fire. I started coughing madly.

"I hope it's not too spicy", said my mom. I gave her an 'are-you-crazy?' look. I saw a pale hand offer me a glass of water, I took it and chugged it down gratefully.

"T-thank you", I said breathlessly. I looked to see who gave me the glass, it was Vladimir. He was looking at me with worried eyes, I blushed and looked down.

"It's no problem", he replied. I met his eyes again and we stared at each other until I heard someone clear his throat. I saw dad looking at us strangely. I continued to sip my soupcautiously, looking down.

"So Vladimir, how do you like it here so far?", asked my mom.

"Well... It's too soon to tell, but this is a nice town and people here are very welcoming", Vladimir replied.My mother smiled.

"So how did you feel when you found out that you and my daughter had the same class schedule?", mom asked. I blushed.This is so not happening...

"Mom--", I started to say, but Vladimir cut me off.

"Well I felt relieved that someone had the same schedule as me, I mean, the school isn't that big but I don't know where the right rooms are and I didn't want to get lost. I recognized Georgiana from last night, she and her friend visited my family. So I decided to ask her if she could take me to my next class. At first I was feeling uneasy because I kept asking Georgiana to lead me to my next class, I felt like I was starting to be a burden, I didn't want to be the reason for her to be late for her own. But after having three classes together she asked if she could see my schedule and it turned out that we both had the same. She was nice about having me follow her around the school the whole day", he said, looking at me.

"He told us he caught you when you fell off the climbing wall during P.E", said Dmitry. My mom's eyes went wide.

"You fell from a climbing wall?!", mom exclaimed.

"Did you get hurt Georgie?", asked Daniele with wide eyes.I sighed.

"Mom, I'm fine. Vladimir caught me just in time", I said, exasperated.

"How tall was it?", asked dad.

"Fifteen feet",I sank in my seat when I saw dad's face turn purple.

"Dad I'm fine! Vladimir saved me okay".

"Georgiana---", my mom started to say, but I cut her off.

"Mom, for the last time, I'm fine!" "I'm not hurt okay!".

"So, Vladimir did catch you?", asked Viktoria.

"Yeah, he carried me to the clinic too", I answered. I remembered what Jenny told me about Vladimir being shirtless when he carried me.*sigh*
