CHAPTER 5

VLADIMIR LAZAR

(My angel)

I rode my car to school, elated with the thought of finally meeting the fair Georgiana. I saw the students scrambling towards their classes as the first warning bell rang. I parked behind the administrations building and got out. I hurried off to the principal's office to get my schedule. It was a light, airy room, well ventilated and orderly. I walked up to the secretary and cleared my throat. She looked up and gaped at me, I heard her heartbeats quicken. I was used to these kind of reactions from humans. "M-may I h-help you?" she asked me. 

"Yes, I'm here for my class schedule" I informed her respectively. Her eyes widened.

"Oh, you're the new student from Romania". She dug in to the neatly stacked papers beside her desk and handed me a slip that had to be signed by the teachers and then submitted by the end of the day and a map of the school along with my class schedule. 

"I hope you like it here", she said, batting her lashes. She was about twenty years old, though I'm WAY older. I waled out of the office to the main building. First period was English Literature with Mr. Gleeson in room 201. I walked down the hallway and looked at the numbers on the doors. Ah, here it is....I thought to myself as I reached my destination. I hope she's in there.... I pleaded silently. I knocked three times on the door. I heard gasps and murmurs from the other side. A man in his thirties and receding hair opened the door "Come right in, everybody's excited to see you", he said. I walked in and heard the girls gasp and sigh, but none of them sounded like the angel from last night. I handed the slip to the man, he singed it and handed it back to me saying, "Please, introduce yourself". I faced the class and heard giggles and sighs from the girls again. 

"My name is Vladimir Lazar. I came from Bucharest, Romania. I'm seventeen years old." I heard a girl whisper 'omg he's so hot', sadly it wasn't her, then I heard another voice say 'i love his voice', damn, still  not her..... I ignored the babbled and finished my introduction, saying "That's all I can tell you about myself"

"Welcome to Jackson High, Vladimir", said Mr. Gleeson. "We hope you like it here. You may take a seat over there", continued our teacher, pointing at the empty seat at the back of the class. I walked towards my assigned seat when I heard a voice say, "omg! Yumm!" I gritted my teeth. It's that annoying voice again........ I flicked my eyes on the source. Jenny was blond and blue eyed, with heavy make up. She was wearing a shirt so tight, it was a wonder she could even breath. You look like a cracked up, clown whore. I wanted to tell her, but I held my tongue. She batted her lashes at me and for some reason it grossed me out. Then my eyes moved to the girl beside her. I caught my breath. It's her, Georgiana. She looked radiant. Her raven mane held back by a gray headband. she was wearing a pink long sleeved shirt -roza was the color- it looked good on her. She was looking at me with wide eyes, her pink lips parted slightly and I heard her catch her breath. I gave her a small smile as I sat down beside her. Her faced flushed and she looked down. oh god...she's just so beautiful. I could smell her sweet scent, intoxicating. Mr. Gleeson resumed his lecture. It was about Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', I already knew that one. I started to feel a tingling sensation all over my skin, a pull towards Georgiana. Strange.....I thought to myself. Then the bell rang, I saw her gather her things and turn to walk away. I panicked, I couldn't let her go, I haven't even spoken to her yet! My hand shot out and grabbed hers. She froze and I did too. An electric current passed through my arm and spread all over my body, making me feel warm all over. I shivered inwardly. She rested her wide eyes on me, the look on her face showed that she felt it too. I heard her heart beat faster an then she blushed oh so adorably. God...She's so beautiful.... I thought, feeling my chest tighten. I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine.
