New Rome University [Percy Jackson AU]

"CLARISSE?!" I stutter, my jaw dropping as I walked into me and Annabeth's dorm.

Clarisse nodded, glaring. Percy was talking to Charles Beckendorf and Chris Rodriguez. 

Silena Beauregard was talking to Hazel, who waved at me when I walked in.

"What are they going here Annie?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Percy said we ought to give them a chance. Him and Charles were talking in class earlier, and Charles and Silena are really close. Silena and Clarisse have been life long friends.

Being friends with Charles would mean Percy would have to be friends with the rest of them.

"Hey Piper." Clarisse said, walking up to me. "Look, I don't wanna be rude. So... I've changed a lot, and I just am wondering if we can be friends?"

She held out her hand for a handshake, a sign of true honesty and friendship, in my opinion.

I shook her hand, smiling.

"So, welcome to being apart of the cult!"

"Cult?" Silena asked.

"Yep! We are the weirdo cult!"

"You practically run the school, that's not really weird." Charles said, chuckling. Silena hugged him.

"We do?" Percy asked.

"Honestly, Percy, have you not noticed? We are the loudest at lunch!"

"That doesn't make us the rulers of the school." He argued.

"You're as blind as a bat Perce." I laughed. "Aight, see y'all around, Jason is taking me out to dinner!"

"Better make sure your finger is ready for that ring!" Hazel smirked. 

"Shushhhh Hazel. I don't know if he will propose. I'm just.. not sure.."

Jason took me to his dorm, which I found odd due to us supposedly supposed to be having a night out.

"I got pizza, I was thinking maybe a movie night instead?"

I nodded, "It seems perfect." I smiled.

We ended up watching Moana, and at one point it made me cry when her grandma died. We had to pause the movie while Jason cradled me until I stopped crying.

"Why were you crying?" He asked, laughing quietly.

"She and her grandma had this super good relationship and I hate when Disney just- does that!" I said.

He laughed again and kissed my forehead, unpausing the movie.

We ate popcorn and a super fun night together.

"Hey, I wanna take you somewhere real quick." He said, standing up and getting my coat for me.

I smiled and put it on, following him to the roof top.

A few fireworks started going off and he lead me to a small picnic area.

We sat down and watched the fireworks. He offered me some juice, which I accepted.

He hugged me from the side.

After a while, his grip loosened and he turned to me, causing me to look over at him.

He held out his hand and I took it, standing up.

"Piper McLean..." He got down on one knee, grinning. "Piper, where to begin. You're my life, and the life of every party. You are so unbelievable, you never fail to blow my mind. From your looks to your personality, you're perfect. And I wanna spend my life with someone just like you." 

I gasped, "Jason-"

"Piper McLean, will you marry me?"

I nodded and hugged him tightly as he stood up, sliding the ring on my finger.

"I love you." He whispered.

We started slow dancing to some soft music he started to play in the background, the fireworks starting to fade off in the background.

"I love you too, Jason."
