Draco's POV:

I was woken up by the sound of a slight tapping on the window next to my bed. I pulled the covers off my sleepy body, and opened the window.

The freezing, night air, blew into my face, as the owl flew onto my bed.

I took the letter from his scaly claw, and told him to leave, with a pat on his head. I opened the envelope, and took out the parchment.

Dear Draco,

You and y/n shall return home on the weekend,

for your joint birthday party,

me, your father and her parents have organised it.

Love,

Narsissa.

P.s. Tell y/n there is a big surprise for her. She needs to apparate to our manor with you, when you return home.

Once I read the letter, I placed it on my bedside, to give to y/n tomorrow, so she can read it herself.

Y/n's POV:

"Can you give it me nowww?" I wined to Draco. Earlier he told me he has something to give me, and I've been nagging about it to him ever since.

We are currently walking out to the courtyard, as we just finished our last lesson.

"Ok, fine." He huffed, handing me a piece of parchment.

I read it in my head, and the first thing I said was " Aghh, I can't wait to see what they have got me, but why have I got to go back to your house?"

"I'm not sure... you didn't tell me your birthday was coming up!" Draco said, in fact, he didn't tell me either.

"Well neither did you, what date is yours" I asked him. I was secretly hoping it was really close to mine, but instead, it was-

"5th, yours?"

"Wait, so this weekend!" I asked furiously, I haven't got time to get him a present.

"I guess." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Mines the 23rd."

"Haha, I'm older than you by eighteen days, loser." He laughed, pushing my shoulder.

"Since when did you become so smart." I crossed my arms, teasing him.

"C'mon, lets go." Draco started walking towards the hallways again.

"Where are we going?" I ran after him.

"To the common room, I'm tired from my mothers stupid owl waking me up at two in the morning." He loudly said over his shoulder.

"Haha, what a shame." I sarcastically said, jumping up and hitting him on the head.

I started to run, knowing what I've gotten myself into, and sure enough, I heard footsteps running after me.
