I arrive at the office building at midnight, just like the police officer told me to. I take a deep breath and approach the door, a cold draft hitting my face as I open it and walk in. I was thankful that I had brought my jacket with me otherwise I would've frozen to death before six am even came. It was only six hours in this place, it couldn't be that bad could it?

I take my flashlight and flick it on, inspecting every nook and cranny of the building with it to make sure that nothing-- or no one-- was here with me. From what I could see the place was very quiet, only the odd creak of the building moving back and forth every so often. It freaked me out a little but after a while I got used to it. I walk into a room with a nameplate on the door which read "Grump Game Room". I'm guessing this is where they used to play video games together. I notice a small blinking red light on the phone that was neatly placed between two monitors. I press the answer button and a feminine voice speaks.

"H-Hello? I heard that someone took the night shift job... that wouldn't be you, would it? Let me just say that you're not making a good career choice here. Anyway since you're here on your own free will-- I hope-- I should explain this place to you a little more."

"There are five people in that building with you; Danny; Arin; Suzy; Barry and Ross. They're not really people anymore if I'm honest... nor are they very friendly. They used to be but not anymore. Keep an eye out for anything strange, even when you're listening to this message. Someone could attack you from behind so you need to keep your wits about you at all times."

"In this room, the Game Room, you can probably find Danny and Arin lurking around somewhere. If they're not in there then they might be in the kitchen or something. Those two are troublemakers, even when they were alive they were the same. You might find Suzy with them but usually she's in her office. She's not too violent but just keep an eye on her, she usually attracts the others like Arin. Did you know those two were married before all this happened?"

I hear a loud clang outside of the room door and my attention darts straight to it. Nothing follows the loud noise except the sound of footsteps clanking away from the room and I let out a sigh of relief as I go back to listening to the message.

"... Anyway there's two others left, Barry and Ross. They're a handful to be honest and they move around quickly so watch out for them. If they catch you then--" the voice message cuts off and I feel panic rush through me at the though of what this Barry and Ross are capable of. I try to replay the message but the message had deleted itself so I was left alone again. I was on my own to try and survive this place.

I start wandering around, keeping a watchful eye on everything around me as I had been told to do. I hear something fall and clatter to the ground in another room not too far from me and then a crackling voice yelling at someone.

"G-Goddamnit R-Ros-s!" The person shouts. It wasn't a human voice, it sounded more robotic. Another voice starts shouting back at them and I start to listen into their conversation.

"I d-didn't m-mean it, Da-an!" The one I'm presuming is called Ross says, his voice cracking with every word he spoke. I turn around to walk away but a female figure stops me from doing so.

"H-Hello. Are you here to l-look after us?" She asks. Her voice box wasn't as worn as the others but it was still pretty bad. "Everyone is so s-scared of us... we did not-nothing wrong. It was him that did it, n-not us."

"Who? Who did what?" I ask. She ignores my question and instead looks behind me, "I would hide i-if I were you. You might be mistaken for him. I'm not sup-supposed to help you but I feel bad for you. Did you get stuck with this job? I hear they want to knock it down and rebuild something else on top of it... but we won't let that happen. Now go, hide. B-Before the others find out you're here."

I nod and run away from the girl, I had only just realised that she hadn't given me her name but I could guess who she was. She was Suzy as there were no other girls here, apart from one called Holly but she managed to escape before she was killed. Well that's what I heard anyway.

I hide in one of the seemingly abandoned rooms and pull out my notebook as I quietly shut the door and press my back against it as I sit down on the ground. I start to scribble down a few notes and stop every few seconds to check to make sure no one else was in the room with me.

'People- Danny; Arin; Barry; Ross; Suzy. Barry and Ross- ??
Danny and Arin- ??
Suzy- not dangerous (so far)'

I finish writing and put the notebook back in my pocket before checking the time. Five am, I was doing pretty well. I hadn't had to use the monitor but I probably should. Nothing potentially bad could happen on the first night so I decide to leave it. I lean up and check through the keyhole to see if anyone was there and to my surprise, someone else was looking through the keyhole as well. I jump back and I hear them knock at the door.

"Let me in please, I promise I'm not bad." The person says and I laugh, "How can I believe that?" I reply.

"A-Aw c'mon dude. I j-just wanna talk, i-it would be n-nice to speak with someo-one human for a change--" The person is cut off by the sound of powering down and I stare at the door with a bewildered expression on my face. I check my watch and see that it was six am exactly, I was thankful but I kind of wanted to hear what the guy had to say. It was late anyway and I hadn't slept much, I should probably head home. There's always tomorrow night after all.
