An odd scent and a feeling of discomfort arose onto the small yellow tabby. Her neon green eyes shot open and she sat up in fright. She looked down at her paws. A tawny colored dust covered her side and paws. At first she thought it was a dream. The small kit often dreamed of outrageous events taking place or strange things happening. But this was all to real. She whimpered, wondering where her mother was, and turned to see all her siblings, plus Toadkit, and Sketchykit. Toadkit seemed to be the only one to awake, he was very drowsy and made his way over to her as quickly as he could. The tom licked his friend and looked around.

"Where are we?" Toadkit meowed.

Sand was everywhere, covering all around them except when small Daykit looked up. Up above was a clear and bright sky.

"Mom? Worthypelt?" Toadkit's voice rang out and traveled out of the hole. "Hey, it's okay Daykit." He meowed turning back to face her. "We will figure this out."

"Alright. " She squeeked.

Suddenly a gorgeous tortoiseshell appeared and looked down into the hole. She had vibrant yellow eyes, not to far off from her fathers.

"Lonestar, Warningwell, come look!" The cat shouted. She made her way down into the hole and stared at all the kits including Daykit and Toadkit with eyes of amazement. "Wow." She padded over towards Daykit. Toadkit stepped in front of Daykit and they both backed up into the edge of the hole. She continued to step towards them until she hovered directly above them. "Wow." She repeated. She acted as if kits were a new thing to her.

"Stop you are scaring them Swimmingriver." Spat a she-cat from above them, she had yet to jump down into the hole. She must be Lonestar. A tom appeared and looked down at them. He had to be Warningwell.

"My StarClan." Warningwell said and hoped down. Lonestar jumped down after.

This was all so confusing. Why were they so amazed? Daykit stayed behind the brave Toadkit and he growled slightly. He was still a young kit, only two or three moons older than herself, but he was brave. "Back away!" He spat. She did not and continued to stare.

"Please, Swimmingriver." Lonestar said and pushed her back with her tail. Warningwell waited behind her. The other kits began to wake up, fear arising on their faces too.

"Please calm down little ones. We are not going to hurt you." Said Lonestar in a soft voice. Her black fur was wet and covered in sand. "Welcome to CoastClan." She meowed and smiled at them.

"I want to go home." Nightkit, Daykit's brother meowed sadly.

"No, no you don't precious." Lonestar said strictly, yet still sweetly. "And you are not going home." She added. Nightkit crunched into a small ball in fear. "You will find CoastClan much better than RisenClan or anyone in it." She was getting more serious now, her voice raising and becoming stern.

"Is it time to place them?" Warningwell asked.

"Yes I believe a placing is in order." Lonestar meowed.

Whatever this meant made Swimmingriver smile in pure delight. "I hope I get some!"

"We will see." Lonestar meowed with a flick of the tail. "Warningwell, go gather the clan and we will begin in a moment. Tell Slickfoot and Lakepaw to come help us carry out the kits."

The  red tabby nodded and seemed to fly out of the hole with little effort. It was crazy, the hole was deep and he made his way out as if it was flat ground. These cats had different skills then RisenClan and muscular legs.

Lonestar nodded at Swimmingriver. "Grab a kit and take them onto the shore."

Swimmingriver nodded and grabbed Nightkit, making her way up the wall while holding the kit. Lonestar grabbed Toadkit and Realkit and did the same. Soon two new cats had jumped down, one was fierce looking and bigger than all the rest. His ginger pelt was very short and his eyes were as dark as night even in the bright daylight. He was quick and grabbed Sketchykit, Dreamkit, and Endkit with so little effort. The next cat was a little tom with a gray pelt. He looked sweet and smart. He was gentle, grabbing Daykit and Breathkit softly in his jaws and made his way up to the surface. Daykit was instantly shocked as the tom padded towards the shore line. Water seemed to stretch forever, it was a beautiful blue-green like nothing she had ever seen before. She turned her head to the left slightly and saw a huge and tall rock where caves were scattered at various levels of it. some rocks were flat like small places where a cat could lounge and sun bathe. To her right, the beach stretched on as far as she could see and behind her, about a mile away was a tree line.
