Soaringpaw could tell the goodbye was especially hard for Sunnyside. The smaller kits may not have remembered, but Sunnyside was their aunt. She had a sad frown on her face as she carried the biggest of the kits, Nightkit. Soaringpaw was the only one without a kit he was in the back and followed the footsteps of the others. He glanced around his shoulder to see Daykit sitting at the top of the rocks. Even from this distance, Soaringpaw could see welled tears in her soft green eyes and the moon shined down on her tabby pelt. It was crazy how much she looked like Sunnyside. Realkit sat by him and offered a short smile at Soaringpaw.

He turned his head back around and watched his paws, being careful not to slip on the iced over rocks. Suddenly the rock Toadpaw had jut stepped off of began to shake as Soaringpaw put his foot down on it. It vibrated and before he knew it, it began to start its roll down the rocks. "OH STARCLAN!" Soaringpaw said quite loudly before jumping for the next rock. As he leaped he kept his balance; already knowing his jump was too short. His front claws caught on the next rock over and he dug them into the ice. He tried to pull his back paws onto the rock as the one that had broken began to tumble. Toadpaw had dropped Dreamkit and used his teeth to dig into Soaringpaw's neck and pull him up as hard as he could.

Soaringpaw managed a footing and hoisted himself onto the rock Toadpaw and Dreamkit were on. "Thank you." He rumbled quickly.

"We need to pick up the pace now, I am sure the whole clan heard that." Grizzlypaw shouted through Breathkit's pelt. Everyone began to speed up as they continued before they heard shouting at the top of the mountain where the cave was. They were already about half way down the rocks.

"Oh no. Slickfoot must have heard the rock fall. We need to hurry before he catches up!" Everyone sped up even more and watched as Slickfoot began down the rocks at three times their speed. He knew exactly which rocks to jump onto. Soaringpaw was still about two foxtails behind Toadpaw and three fourths the way down when Slickfoot caught up.

"I knew RisenClan would come back for LostClan's kits!" Slickfoot shouted; five rocks behind Soaringpaw. In just a moment he would have caught the ginger tom.

"Our kits!" Sunnyside corrected. Soaringpaw could tell that Slickfoot was about to jump. Soaringpaw used his back legs to push up and flung forwards. Slickfoot had misjudged the leap and extended forward, missing the next rock. "StarClan help us." Sunnyside meowed, horrified.

The next few moments went by slowly as each cat on the rocks watched Slickfoot tumble down the rocks, the first he hit multiple cracking noises echoed through the air. By the time he had bounced and hit another rock they all knew he was dead. Dreamkit's jaw dropped as she stared in horror, but no one ever stopped going down the rocks. When they reached the bottom they dashed for the tree line and set all the kits down; stopping to catch a breath.

Soaringpaw watched the brown tom, Toadpaw stare at Dreamkit. "I can't believe that just happened." He said in sock. Soaringpaw could tell Dreamkit did not know if she should be sad or relieved.

"I'm glad you're okay." The high voice of Sketchypaw purred as she rasped her tongue over Soaringpaw's ear.

Soaringpaw felt nothing but love for the sweet as sugar she-cat. "I am glad you are here." He said.

They hurried out of CoastClan territory, expecting a visit later on, but they would not be afraid. After they returned they would have a whole clan by their sad. A clan who would die to protect their kits. Soaringpaw almost was overtaken by the fear of what would happen when they first stepped in to RisenClan camp, but he did not allow fear to take over his bravery. That bravery that had proved his worth time and time again. It had saved the clan once and saved himself multiple times. Now it would save the lives of the ones he loved.
