"Amber, get on with your art coursework!" My Mum yelled up the stairs.
It was Sunday and I was dreading Monday as it crept around once again. I hate Mondays.
I was upstairs listening to Demi Lovato on full volume, trying to drown out the sound of my Mum yelling but it was no use. My Mum had given up yelling and had begun stomping up the stairs. I took out my earphones so she could see I was listening although I let my mind wander of elsewhere.
"Amber you cannot just spend your weekends doing nothing! You have to do your work! Stop being so lazy and get on with it! I don't know why y..." She ranted on. It was the start of an argument that I knew I would never win. I just ignored her and let her rant on. After a long eight minutes of ranting I had seen that she had finally left.
My earphones went back in and Devi Lovato's songs were on full blast once again. My music was so loud that I couldn't hear myself think. Perfect.
