~~Zailan's point of view~~
It's been a week since the girls have been here. Every morning I have woken up to Raynebow in my bed. I don't complain. I don't think Rayne is too happy about it, but she hasn't said anything.
The first couple of days, we went out for food. Rayne insisted that we stop but a store and get things to be able to cook at home. So we went to Walmart. I let her get what she wanted. Ever since then, she cooks and is good at it. I told her she didn't have to, but that didn't go over so well.
I do know Rayne went to Breeze and had Breeze take her to the store. I assume for girl things. She isn't entirely comfortable, but she relaxed a little, knowing Breeze and Rob were right next door. She laughed when she realized that their house was bigger than mine.
I lay here watching Raynebow sleep. I don't know why she was brought into my life, but I'm thankful she was. I can't imagine my life without her now. I never wanted children; I didn't want them because of my distrust of women. In this situation, I don't have to deal with a woman. I just have to keep her mom happy enough not to fight me. I want to be Raynebow's dad.
I know that means I have to deal with Rayne for the rest of my life. I'm willing to take that chance. She isn't terrible to be around. I don't mind her; she doesn't like me. I don't blame her for that. I have forced my way into her life. I don't think she fully understands that her daughter moved her way into my heart.
I'm not willing to let that go. Every day they are in my home is a day closer to the six months I have to wait to make Raynebow mine. I will keep my word and not push Rayne out. She is welcome to stay as long as she wants. It's her choice after she's eighteen.
I see Raynebow move. She turns her head and looks at me with her big blue eyes. I run my hand through her hair. She scoots closer. I pull her to me and wrap her in a hug.
Zailan: "Did you sleep well?"
Raynebow: "Yeah."
Zailan: "We should go see mommy."
Raynebow: "Ok."
After the first night, she came into my room I have been wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I used to just sleep in my underwear.
I stand up Raynebow stands up on my bed and jumps in my arms. I carry her down the hall to the kitchen, my nose following the smell. Rayne and I had a discussion about that. I told her as long as she was in my home, they would eat at least breakfast and dinner.
Rayne doesn't have to eat lunch. I do ask that she feeds Raynebow; I don't force her to cook or clean. The way we have been doing it, she cooks, and I clean.
I also clean the house and have done laundry. I have some meetings today about the apartments and business. After that, I'm going to take them to the mall. I've been doing their laundry; I know what they have. I want them to have more. I hate seeing either of them wearing the same clothes every other day.
I don't know how Rayne will react to me having to leave. The contractor called me late in the evening. I didn't want to bother them. I let them do their thing. I only involve myself if Raynebow wants or needs me.
Rayne turns from the stove and sees us standing there. She smiles and reaches for Raynebow. Then she quickly moves to the table, stopping long enough to grab Raynebow's booster seat.
I've watched Rayne every morning. I don't do it to be a pervert. I watch her because at seventeen with a child, she is a good mom. She is very attentive towards Raynebow. When I do get close to Raynebow when she's awake, it makes her uncomfortable. I never take her anywhere alone. I also put a camera in my room. I turn it on before getting in bed. That way, she can't ever question anything.
