~~Zailan's point of view~~

~Two weeks later~

It's been two weeks since Rayne went to stay with Dennis. He told me what she thought and that he proved to her she was wrong. She said she needed time to get her head straight. I was ok with that. I needed time to find out who Wayne was. I have my answers now. It's been enough time this will end today.

I want my family back. Back in my home, and I want my girl back in my bed. These last two weeks have driven me crazy. I do see my daughter; She is sitting in my office right now. Dennis brings him with her to work every day, and I took her home last weekend. They are both coming home with me today.

Zailan: "Hey, Jellybean?"

Raynebow: "What, Daddy?"

Zailan: "Go get Uncle Dennis, please?"

Raynebow: "Ok."

She climbs out of the chair and gets to the door. I know she can't open it, but I like seeing her try. It's cute. She gets there and tries to open it; she grunts and pulls at it.

Raynebow: "I need help, Daddy."

Zailan: "I'm coming."

I watch her walk out to the showroom. She knows where Dennis's desk is. I know she is going in the right direction. I don't want to leave and not tell Dennis. I also need him to watch his niece while I go talk to his pain in the ass sister.

She's lucky that I love her. I wouldn't have gone through everything I have to make it right if I didn't. I am not a quitter. I don't give up on the people I care about. That is why I ended up with Dennis and George being part of the family. I love those boys as if they are my own, and they know that.

They treat Rayne as their big sister. We aren't a traditional family, but it works for us. I will be in my daughter's life. I will be in her mother's life. I will be in Dennis and George's life. I just need Rayne to get her head out of her ass. I waited two weeks for that to happen. I am tired of waiting. I am going to her.

Dennis comes in carrying Raynebow. He gave her a sucker. I laugh because we both know that we aren't telling Rayne. She can have anything else she freaks out about, suckers. I get why. Choking hazards.

Dennis: "What's up, Pop?"

Both boys have called me that since George was staying with Rob. I don't mind it. I know I am the closest thing either of those boys has to a father figure. I'm not perfect, but they get the best parts of the same as Raynebow.

Zailan: "Please watch her with that. Rayne will murder us both."

Dennis: "I'm not putting her down until she's done."

Zailan: "Can you watch her while I go talk to your sister?"

Dennis: "Do you think that is smart?"

Zailan: "It's been enough time. I need my girls back in my home."

Dennis: "We got this, don't we, Raynebow?"

Raynebow: "Yep."

Zailan: "Thank you."

I kiss my daughter's cheek and slap Dennis on the back. The other people that work here know that we're all family. They don't know how, and we don't care to explain. We know how we all fit, and that is all that matters to us.
